I'm sitting here watching this game in awe. Now,I've thought about it before, and I gotta say, TMac is really reminicient of Jordan.I'm not taking anything away from the man, just saying that TMac has some of those trademark quailties. His defense in this game speaks volumes. The killer instinct and desire that M.J. has is there in TMac also. He's not only busting threes, but is driving to the hole today. The guy has the ability to elevate his teammates play(great court awareness)...and dials it up in the playoffs. All, I'm sayin is that I see a guy who is 25,and on top of his game.I honestly believe he is capable of taking us to the promised land now,as long as everyone else plays their role. Tracy has mad game.
As crazy as this thread seems and as crazy as this sounds, I agree. T-mac has been elevated to the best perimeter and possibly most valuable player in the league.
He's playing at a level similar to MJ, but MJ did it for over 6 years. He's not at MJ level, but played like it tonight. So T-Mac is not the next MJ. It'll take a few years of play like tonight and a few rings for that to be even considered.
That is what I saw. "Jordanesque" moves. McGrady was backing up his comments on how he can take over a game. What was it he said? Something about "imposing his will on opponents". Or was it "marking his territory"? Awesome show T-Mac
I posted this in the game action thread, but I can't believe that we traded for this guy in the prime of his career. How lucky is this franchise that we've seen the Big E, Moses, Hakeem, Clyde, Chuck, and now T-Mac wear the Rocket red!
Tmac is simply unbelieveable. There is no way I can put into words how in awe of him I am at times. He's one of the greatest ever for sure. Tmac=the man. PS: I think I dislocated my shoulder with all the 'air punches of joy' I threw from his play today.
I wish yall quit trying to compare Tmac to Jordan. Tmac is not even on the radar screen in Jordan League. The only way he will appear on the radar screen is if he takes this team and lead them to a championship.
I admit. I was wrong about the T-Mac trade. I was against it at first. Now I can see, getting McGrady was the steal of the century. He will go down as one of the 3 best players in NBA history.
I just want to point out that I, like these other fans, had the thought that Tmac was Jordan-esque in his performance - even Jordon took several years to get there
Ditto. I think I hurt my wrist with the multitude of air punches I threw. But it is a sweet sweet feeling. It hasn't felt this good to be a Rockets fan in a long time. Thank you T-Mac. Take that Weisbrod.
Agreed JPM0016. What a steal, the Rox are set for years to come because the Orlando GM is simply an overbearing A-hole that doesn't know when to shut up.
Yeah I wish y'all would quit comparing T-Mac to Jordan too....He DOES get called for a travel every once in while....
Well one game doesn't = 6 rings, and scoring titles, MVPs, and defensive player of the year (not sure if he did or not.) I think that's all Jerry36 is trying to say. What I think we're all saying is his game today was very Jordanesque. Not that he's at that level yet. He's got get a few rings before he's considered at that level.
This guy haven't made out the first round and yall all ready comparing him to Jordan. I wouldn't call that a Jordan-esque performance, let this start winning some series and championships.
