this isn't really a reaction thread.. if you've been on this board in the past 2 years, you probably read all of my "Head bashing" posts.. I got flamed so often for saying that Luther isn't a a quality NBA player and he can't do anything right other than shooting (inconsistently) .. I decided to start this thread right now, however, to get some support since most of you guys just saw the game and Luther Head heroics ( ) are still fresh on your mind.. I just really hate to see him on the court at ANY time.. he can't guard anyone, can't make an entry pass (or for that matter, any kind of pass) to save his life, he can't dribble, he can't drive to the basket, and yet he still wants to handle the ball and go to the basket, and get blocked twice resulting in two 3's for Boston in the 1st quarter.. with Snyder, Francis, James, and Ducky on this team, I don't think Luther should see ANY minutes with this team.. who's with me??
Don't understand why Luther was handling the ball at the end. Rafer should have been there to make the entry pass. Luther just should have been camping for the purpose of spacing... He is a boneHEAD.
Head is a good bench player, but i don't know why brooks was taken out either. Head had a good game until the fourth quarter.
We know what Head can do and can't do. He is a good shooter but not a PG. When he is put in as a ball-handler, he turns it over from time to time. I don't think that you can blame Luther here. He is not a star in this league but a role player.
Luther Head has the basketball IQ of an eggplant. He should've been traded last year when he still had some value. However, it's on Adelman (and JVG last year) for not realizing this and continuing to send him out there praying he'll hit some 3's to negate his MANY, MANY flaws.
Come on! What's new? That's not the 1st day we know Head. Why we need this discussion all over again?
Luther made the turnovers, but it was bonehead Adelman who not only put him in, but had him doing the entry pass! WTF
here we go again. someone plays poorly and we suddenly hate him. we had the same thoughts about rafe alston and now that his playin better everyone loves him.
i'm not mad at luther head. he's only playing b/c we lack a real 2 guard guard. he's still new to the league and he'll make his mistakes. im just mad at yao's inability to lead a team. luther i can forgive easily.
I've never been on the Luther Head bandwagon... For what he gives us on offense (a nice cut to the basket once every two games and a couple 3's), he is an absolute liability on defense. No one respects him and they shoot over and through him. He's also likely to turn the ball over if you put any kind of pressure on him... Yao Hayes, Scola Battier, Bonzi T-Mac, *Head Rafer, Brooks Head should not be in the rotation with Mike James, Snyder, and SF3 on the bench....
roffesaurus, you been hear over a year and a half, have over 2150 posts..and they still have you labelled as a rookie here? Man, who did you piss off or on here? Sounds like you got some haters for you like I got for me!
He also failed to box out Ray Allen on that offensive board down the stretch. Head has no bball IQ whatsoever.
Luther is useless. He might serve a purpose on a really good team that can hide every other weekness of his game but he is exposed on this one.
