As an Illini fan, you just have to be patient -- it will come. Luther used to be on the receiving end of alley oops from Deron Williams and Dee Brown all the time.

A little trivia for you Rockets fans. Five years ago, during his senior year in high school, Luther Head did the "T-Mac" off the backboard pass to himself dunk in the Wendy's High School All Star Game (not a dunk contest). I'm not sure when TMAC unveiled that move but as an Illini fan, I heard about Luther's before I saw TMac's....

I don't have the clip of it but here is a link to some good background info on Luther from an Illinois message board.

I'm hoping once he gets more PT we'll see some of the talent come out. He just needs time. And just like I said in another thread, the Rockets organization for the past decade has not done well with letting young talent develop. Hopefully they do with Head, because he has some skillz!!

Nope, won't happen, we'll end up trading him in the future to a slowly declining, former-all-star that we will think is the missing piece to our championship dreams, a la Charles Barkley, until we get an Assistant GM that CD will listen to about player development.

i think he deserves for playing time..heck i event hink he should starts over rafer, rafer make some bone head plays and can't make baskets...i rather take chances of Head shooting than rafer, but too bad this is a van gundy team..rookies will enver have a chace
