    he's like a 6'0 ron artest.

he's a better passer and defender than brooks already.

I was impressed by his passing skill, especially for passing the ball to Yao!

But, he needs to improve his shooting skill. He is young. I think he can be a good shooter.

if it was KG, or Chandler, it would have been dunked. He threw it up high to Yao so he can dunk it all in one motion. Instead, Yao came down with it and then went back up...

You just have to give credit to Morey again. I wasn't sure about this trade, but I was wrong. His defense will be key come playoffs against CP3, Nash, Parker, Terry. Plus, he gets to the free throw line, which we are not good at doing as a team. At this point i like him on the bench, but who knows how this plays out.

if he can improve his range shooting (both 2's and 3's) this offseason, i want to see him start next year.

Dang, small sample size. Not too much can be read into those numbers. I like Lowry. I don't think he'll take over the starting job, unless he proves to work with Yao better than Brooks (entirely possible).

There hasn't been too much to pick on about the guy. He's still learning to play with who we have here, but he's learning quickly. I think he'll be a very very solid backup PG for us.

He's a good on ball defender and doesn't jack up shots, plays within himself and a playmaker as well. That one three he took yesterday was against the clock. I like him, Morey did not make a mistake trading Rafer for this kid

I was very impressed with the way Lowry played last night. I can't remember the last time that I saw a Rockets pg do some of the things he did. It probably was Vernon Maxwell that was the last Rockets pg who could penetrate and play suffocating defense like that. It's a pity that he doesn't shoot better from the outside; however, as long as you have guys like Artest, Battier, Wafer, Barry, and even Scola (who has a great mid-range jumper) on the floor then it probably doesn't matter.

I am encouraged by the fact that Lowry came across to me as someone who is hungry and wants to get better. Because he is young, I think he will grow into being a better outside shooter than what he is now. He is definitely an interesting contrast and change of pace compared to Brooks.

if morey said he had coveted for lowry for almost 3 years, you know there is something awfully good with the kid.

I mentioned this in the game thread but I'll repeat myself.

There is a bit of silver lining to this kid not having a great % from 3 point land. He isn't "lazy" on offense. He makes the defense react to him instead of camping out behind the line hoisting 3 pointers all night. He catches the ball and makes a move instantly and usually gets something good out of the possession. You either see him get to the rim, get fouled or dump off the ball to someone else once he has sucked the defense in.

He is very proactive instead of being reactive and just taking the jumper that the defense gives him.

with our combo of Brooks and Lowry our opponents can no longer take a break on defense since both of them can get to the cup quickly and finish. Brooks with his supreme quickness and Lowry with his strengh. Bullet and Cannonball combo.

I really like his game. He attacks the rim like a bowling ball and relishes contact--no crappy floaters from him!

He plays very impressive defense and didn't seem at all affected by the magnitude of the game last night.

Great pick-up by Morey and co!

agreed. you'd like every guard on our team to have range, but meanwhile it can be covered since we have shooters on our team. and lowry himself sure looks like a smart kid who knows what to do with the ball when he has it. so far, quite impressive i have to say.

Lowry is our Rondo. He is already a much better PG than Rafer.
