If you're to nitpick you can do better than criticizing two rookies. Not that that proves much, anyway.
that late in the draft there aren't any sure things left. if morey's choice is between a bust or a bust and he picks a bust, big deal. doesn't prove that he wouldn't know how to spot a better player if one were available. i think you have to look at the talent this team had when he arrived, and where we are at right now. then make up your mind.
Eight months out, they still have 2 years on their rookie contracts. When you draft so late, you aren't going to get somebody as successful as Oden in his first year. ;-)
We gave up Juwan Howard. Garbage in, garbage out. So that's a wash. Steve Francis was Morey's biggest blunder to date, in my opinion.
Bump. Interestingly enough, Lowry is expected to start this season along with Brooks. Morey and the coaching staff have really been high on him over the summer.
this article is old and merely hints that the organization will keep an eye on using them as a combo. it does not say they will start together. i like the idea of playing them together if the matchup permits. however this tandem can easily get abused on the defensive end.
one day old is old for Clutchfans. this has already been discussed and the thread is on page 2. http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=174984 hehe not trying to bust your balls, but its old to me.
It's not even discussed as a possibility. They'll undoubtedly see time on the floor together. Doesn't mean they're expected to start together.
Am I missing something? Why'd you bump this thread if you're going to talk about Lowry and Brooks starting together (already discussed in another thread)?
Whoa, wasn't expecting to see this thread again. Especially since half of it was spent talking about Shelden Williams. All the same, I sure hope this formula was onto something when it labeled Lowry as the player most likely to achieve success by his third season. Whether true or not, let's hope where there's smoke there's fire!
