Assuming we are going into revbuilding mode, which is the most likely scenario, our offseason moves will need to include some very low risk contracts. So, which players should we look for that can still contribute during the next season, that is low risk? For example, many people have wanted Gortat. I don't know what his contract is like, so I was wondering if his contract is worth taking on. What other players are available keeping this in mind?
Agree, unless we can lock up a star. One thing I am not worried about with Morey is loading up with bad contracts for mediocre players - unlike our prior GM. That may be why no trades went down on draft day.
Gortat is a RFA. In my opinion he is worth part of the MLE. It will be interesting to see what Orlando will do after signing Carter.
