This needs to be our offseason target, trade our first rounder for this guy. He will do to the 4 spot for us what Battier did at the 3. He is solid, a van gundy type player who will get his minutes, high basketball IQ, and can score. All San Antonio wants is a first rounder. He is better than anyone we could get at the mid to late 20's where we will be picking, plus although he will be a rookie in the NBA he has played at about as high a level as one could hope for the last few years.

i thought that it was on a year by year basis and this year it became affordable but san antoinio has just too many big men to justify bringing him over so they just hold onto his rights.
Scola would be good, but I'd rather trade our draft pick for Fran Vasquez of the Magic. Vasquez refuses to join the Magic because he does not want to play behind Dwight Howard and Darko Milicic et al. However, the Rockets PF spot between Yao and T-Mc would IMO be very tempting for him. He won't be available until 2010 I think. The real issue is he just chose not to go to the NBA. The media suggested his girlfriend decided for him, that she didn't want to live away from Europe.
