This all comes down to the recreating the way it was on the first flight on Oceanic Air. Sayid is taking place of Kate as he is now the one that is arrested and being escorted by some officer. I also believe Charlie told Hurley which flight to get on, hence the guitar... Maybe Kate is pregnant and now she's Claire?
My theory about Hurley is that the "ghost" of Charlie told him to come. That's why he has the guitar case. Regarding the woman escorting Sayid Spoiler Yeah, that's her. I think she and the guy who talked to Jack at the airline counter are joining the Losties. Maybe Lapidus too but I'm not sure on that one. Oh, and I'm 99% they didn't jump. They just disappeared in the flash of light, just like all the other time shifts on the island.
My only problem with this is, who's Locke? Maybe Ben with a broken arm? That one seems to be a bit of a stretch. Locke = Christian Sheppard Sayid = Kate Hurley = Charlie Kate = Claire? Jack = ? Ben = ? Lapidus = Matt Parkman
SciFi is showing 2 episodes every Tuesday at 6 and 7. They just started from the beginning a couple of weeks ago. There will be roughly 100 episodes in the first 5 seasons. If you watched 2 episodes a week, you'll have watched the entire series (minus the final season) in a year. I think this is where SciFi is going. You can rewatch every episode and be caught up when the 6th season begins.
Spoiler The guy who talked to Jack at the counter is a pretty accomplished actor. I doubt he was there for a cameo.
Spoiler Didn't see the preview, but if she did jump with Sayid, maybe it's because she was touching him. I think if any of the time travelers touch something, it goes with them. But if that's the case I wonder if the airplane seats go with them.
Actually, I read someones comments on another board where they pointed out that Jack was reading a letter like Sawyer was, and Sun is carrying her husbands wedding ring like Rose was. I think there's something to it.
Pretty enjoyable episode...not sure what happened to the rest of the passengers...I'm assuming Aaron is with Claire's mother? Desmond returned home? Seeing Jin in the VW was crazy...I guess they got zapped back and forth and he eventually because one of them?
great episode. I want to know what happened to Aaron. I also think the theory of Ben going after Penny was correct although I doubt he killed Desmond because Mrs. Hawkins said the island wasn't done with him yet and we know that you won't die until the island is done with you.
But why is Jin in a brand-spankin new VW wearing a crisp, clean Dharma initiative jumpsuit? It boggles the mind man
they are in the past, Jin and Daniel joined the initiative to save themselves. its the same van that Hurley and Sawyer find "years" later and drive around...maybe the guy they found in the van then that was dead and decayed could actually be Jin????
We all know Kate is a reckless w**** so that wouldn't surprise me. I'm very curious about what happend with Ben and where Sun and Jin's baby is. Who is it with that she would risk never seeing it again just to spend an eternity on the island with Jin?
Yi Jeon is in Seoul with a nanny. Maybe Sun made other arrangements but there was little time to do so. Obviously, she didn't go to Korea and then come back to Los Angeles. I do find it odd that she was so willing to leave her child like that. Maybe she was under the impression that she could go to the island, get Jin, and leave again and is in for a rude awakening. rrj_gamz, good theory about Aaron being with Claire's mom. Maybe something happened that made Kate realize she needed to go back. She remembered the vision with Claire and knew she shouldn't take Aaron with her so she gave him to his grandmother. But it tore her up to do so which is why she was so emotional when she went to see Jack.
I don't know what to put in a spoiler, as most of what I have to say has been referenced already here, so I'll just warn now and go on with it. If you haven't been watching the series and keeping up to date, this whole thread is one big spoiler. Anyway... I have to agree about Ben and Penny. The "promise" to an old friend timing combined with his state on the phone to Jack, and Desmond being near... what else could it be? Have to wonder what happened to the kid, but VDP is right, Des is live' and kickin' since it appears Eloise has always known what's what, and said the island isn't done with him. Plus if the above is right, he'll want his revenge on Ben. The parallels of characters at the time of the two flights are interesting... good points. What purpose they serve? Necessity? Coincidence as usual? Ever so slight fluctuations in reality due to changes in events/situations in time? Further, it's odd that Sayid would be there by external coincidence. Hurley getting word from Chahhhhlie makes more sense, and ghosts would be involved with that. That island has a far impacting mind of it's own, I tell ya. also, I don't think it's been noted yet, not that I saw, that they flew on the Ajira airline, and that was on the water bottle at the camp when Sawyer and Juliet and company found the longboats there. Seeming to remember they were amidst traveling in the past then, and seeing Jin in dharma digs and a new VW, you have to figure that the "6" are in the pre-purge past, and someone from that flight will soon be chased from the beach by... ??? Rouseau??? 'others' probably ???
I think we are supposed to believe that Ben went after Penny since he was covered in blood at the marina, but I think it is a red herring. I think Desmond flew to LA because he certainly did not take his boat there in just a few days time: I would guess it would take weeks or months from England to LA by sail boat.
