Perhaps he got the superhuman strength idea from Ethan. First he beat the heck out of Jack, then when he returns he kicks butt until they all gang up on him. Perhaps another healing example, Jin's infertility. Dharma definately has something in plan for Walt. He makes the island tick. Remember it was he who said they had to build a second raft even after he destroyed the first seemingly with the knowledge that he was going to be captured. The others have said when they took the guns that Walt is "very special." As far as being told something on the computer, I don't think Michael was told anything more than what we were shown.
At this point I'd be laying claim to that cave. Fresh water and a strong roof over your head. Yeah living on the beach is nice until the first storm blows in. Then I'd be charging people rent at the "chateu cave de pope".
Random lost question, Does anyone know what the name of the song that was playing at the end of last nights episode?
I guess I missed the episode where Ethan did his act. The infertility thing is a possibility...but given Dharma's penchant for babies and whatever they do to them, I think it is just as likely they managed to impregnate Sun somehow. Or maybe they did just heal Jin so HE could get her pregnant and they could take the baby...eventually. Anyway, what concerns me the most about the latest set of episodes is the uncertainty of what we know to be true and what we think to be true. I mean, it is nice to believe that the Lost islanders are finally getting some answers from their captured Other (such as his remarks about The Man at the top, them never getting Walt back, etc), but at the same time the guy is a ridiculously effective liar and he seems to have some kind of agenda in his communication and interaction with the Losties...so maybe everything he tells them is just more misinformation designed to do....whatever it is they are doing to everyone. Out of curiosity...what are all the things that the island could have or has done for its inhabitants so far (positive things): Sun and Jin - pregant where before it was said to be impossible Hurley (and Libby?) - Hallucinations before were controlled with medication...I think the island has fixed whatever was wrong with his head permanently Locke - Can walk now Rose - cured whatever was ailing her Charlie - cured his heroine addiction? maybe maybe no I think there are more...but I can't think of them all (I missed a lot of the first season, too). Jack, Kate, Sayid, Anna Lucia and probably many others have emotional/mental issues that I think might be helped somehow either directly or indirectly due to their time on the island. I'm just wondering...everything about the Others and the island seems to be so negative, or viewed negatively by the audience and by the characters in the show...but what if all of this is being done to help these people? Just seems like a twist I could see them pulling...even though it would just about clear up all the conflict that currently exists.
Did anyone notice Kate's subtle attempt to seduce Jack before Michael showed up unexpectedly? Kate: "I'm sorry I kissed you." Jack: "I'm not." It's a good thing Michael showed up right after that. We don't need a pregnant Kate on the show.
Remember in "Maternity Ward" Ethan tells a drugged Claire that they are good people and that he is sorry that he will have to send her back. He has to send her back because they only have enough serum for the baby. Remember that Desmond also was taking the serum injections, so it would logical to assume that they were trying to protect Aaron. Also, Ana Lucia asked Goodwin why he killed Nathan, and he responded by saying that Nathan wasn't a "good person." He wasn't what they wanted and he knew that eventually Ana would set him free, so he got rid of the guy. I believe Henry was purposely planted. Everything he's said has been calculated. What he said about Mr. Friendly was interesting, "Him? He's no one, nothing." In Maternity Ward, Mr. Friendly was talking to Ethan and said "what am I supposed to tell him, you know what he's going to do when he finds out." That statement meant that theres an even high up other than Mr. Friendly and that he would do something. Could Henry be another plant by Dharma, or because Henry knows so much and is so cunning, is he him. Other things the island has given the characters.... Kate has been given a chance to finally stop running. Eko has found retribution and faith again.
How long does it take for a woman to begin having symptoms of a pregnancy? They've been on the island for two months, so she would have already missed two menstrual cycles....errr, I don't buy it.
Ya, I think she hooked up with Michael. That's why so always has that frightened look on her face when we see her now. And Jin will know this once the baby comes out with a dark tan and Michael's hair. Think about it, the two had problems back in the beginning and Sun went to Michael for a lot. I bet this is going to be a season 3 flashback.
Yeah that's where I got it from, and the trailer for the next episode shows the guy in the hatch overpowering Ana Lucia even tho she obviously had a gun. There's no way a normal guy in his condition (or most anyone in their peak condition vs. Ana) would be able to stand up straight let alone kick Ana's ass. We know he's toying with everyone, so it could be he's just letting them think that they have an upper hand.
The show is so much better if you don't watch the clips for the next episode. I do that for 24 too. When the show is over, I click....
I can't do that for anyshow, although I think you're right...I'm 3 episodes behind on Lost...I'll probably go for the marathon this weekend...
Anna Lucia lost..for 5 days. http://news.aol.com/entertainment/t...k/20060426071909990001?ncid=NWS00010000000001
I'm finally caught up but when's the next episode...Good to see Michael back and let's see some fighting...
