They're showing what happened to the other survivors after the crash. All I really remember is them showing the wreckage and the people coming to, and then sleeping people getting dragged off.
dude, all the characters seem to have been around each other before the crash. Sawyer was drinking with Jacks's dad. Sun and jin were around Michael etc. Something like that.
Yeah, seems to be lots of little quirks where the characters are interrelated. Also, Walt isn't the first vision, if that's the right word, that has been seen on the island. Remember Jack seeing his dad?
If you remember, Shannon's dad was in a car accident w/Jack's future wife. In the ER, Jack made the decision to treat the female first & Shannon's pop died soon after.
I took as a restart from the other side. Meaning we'll probably see a ton of flashback for the survivors from that side, kind of restarting the show with the 2nd half of the group. I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't get back to the main story until the end of this season or start of season 3
There's an update on that ABC alavar hanso website...if you click on life extension project there is a letter about a monkey there....and then if you click on the last sentence it brings up a login screen where someone has already decoded the password as Copenhagen, which brings you to another freaky classified document...pretty cool stuff...
A lot of people may not like the idea of seeing the story of the other side of the island, but I personally think it's the best thing to happen yet this season. (which has been a big disappointment so far) It'll help keep things fresh, and keep the audience wanting more.

There is a java script also on that page. I'm not a java script expert, but the it seems the password on that page lays within those codes, it suppose to display a image if the password is correct. By my understanding, the password should be the first part of the code(110,101,103,97,104,110,101,112,111,67), reversed. But it didn't work.
Since Walt is talking backwards my guess is that the Others are the cast from Twin Peeks. seriously though, I think the others are a group of wild children and teens a la Lord of the Flies.
