That may be true, but I think there is a really good chance he was picked up. By who, I don't know. But me and my siblings drove the streets for hours and there was no loose dogs. Spoke with mailmen, gardeners, just people outside. No luck. My other dog also out, but she is a lot bigger and she was found only a block away (down Kirby). So if this little guy was strolling down busy ass Kirby, he could of easily been picked up and taken somewhere else other than this neighborhood. So I have no clue.
It's sad to say but when a dog is that cute and people pick up the dog i'm sure more times than not they end up keeping the dog. At least that's my opinion. I've had 2 dogs escape from the backyard all the time and they usually come back sitting on the front door waiting to get in. If they ever came up missing I pretty much knew someone picked them up . It doesn't seem you have a history of the dog getting out and coming back so there is still hope. Hang in there.
Not to be a bitter Betty, but close to 10 years ago, my English Bulldog got out, along with a yellow lab, and a border collie. The other two were picked up quickly, but the Bulldog wasn't. We put signs up everywhere saying "reward." I had a mexican call me a couple days later and he said he had my dog. First thing out of his mouth was "how much is reward?" I told him $50. I said I'd go right to him, but he said he'd be right over. I ended up sitting at my house the rest of the day waiting. Turned out, you can easily sell a a bulldog for more. If I were you, I'd put a $1,000 reward on there. And I'd have the police with me when they came by with my dog.
