Recently I lost my cell phone while in Las Vegas. A couple hours before losing it, I dialed an outgoing number which was saved in my cell phone, and should be recorded in my Verizon wireless bill. The problem is, Verizon refuses to tell me the number, because my bill won't be 'finalized' until the 27th, and they're unwilling to give out the information of calls that are not actually billed for yet. The problem I have with this is, what if someone had taken my phone and made calls on it after it had been stolen? Even though I stopped the services as soon as possible, I'd still like to know if any calls had been made on it at that time. The fact that Verizon is unwilling to share this information until June 27th when my bill will be sent out is ridiculous to me. I have sufficient cause to request to know what calls were made on the day it was lost, IMO. Obviously it's a pain in the butt to lose a phone, but has this exact situation happened to anyone before, where you really need a # for whatever reason, and the only way to get it is by contacting your phone company? Verizon has been really uncooperative, but if anyone has any advice on this, I would appreciate it.
I've lost a phone before, but you got to have your phone on lock all the time so things like that have less of a chance of effecting you.. LOCK YOUR PHONE after every call.. "LEARN IT, KNOW IT.... LIVE IT!!!" It does suck, plus if you dont carry that extra 5 dollars a month wannabe "PHONE INSURANCE" you are going to be out some cash to reativate a new phone when you buy one.. well that's how it works with Sprint..
