The Rockets are not only winning with out Steve Francis, they are doing it in style. I can't even imagine what's going to happen when Yao Ming joins the mix. The play from are forwards has been nothing less than phenomenal. With the emergence of Griffin, Morris,Taylor and Rice, I see no reason to panic in the upcoming season. I am SOOOOOOOOOO excited...
    Go Rockets!! :)

    I say 60+wins

3 and 0 in the preseason with-out Key players. You do the math.

I only started this thread because I thought our forward positions were the ones the Rockets had to address the most.

I think last year we lost the majority of preseason games with healthy main players. What a delightful turnaround!!!

I just hope this momentum carries over into the season.

After watching last night's game against Phoenix, I thought the Suns played their front-line players a lot longer than the Rockets did and Houston still ended up winning. But dayum....Amare Stoudemire looks good! (Granted...it's only the preseason! ;) )

Otherwise, it was great to see Nachbar finally make a basket. Now I need to see him go off for 35 points tonight.

Playin without key players every game so far + all players learning new system + 3 wins so far = Helluva good season once everyone gets goin..:D

Im worried about tonight tho. SF/KT/Mooch still out? What is the condition of TMo? I know its just preseaon, but having a bunch of wins right out of the gate gives everyone confidence and makes it easier to start the season well..

The play from the forwards are what is more impressive than anything. Rice has not looked hobbled, is posting up and seems to have his shot goin. TMo has been fabulous so far..seems that hes really been working on his shot, and his D hasnt been too shabby. EG, what more can be said, he's goin into the paint alot more than last season, and getting the blocking machine warmed up and ready for the season..Mo needs a few more games to get back into better condition, but still doesnt look bad for a guy that hasnt played in a year....KT is keeping up the level of play from last year..he should be a real asset this year if he can accept a bench spot...Poor Boki, he is lookin the worst of all. But I aint giving up on him. He looked 100% better last night than before. He actually hit a couple of shots, played a little D, and got some nice passes off..I think his game will come in time, but I dont see him starting anytime soon..Chin up Boki, you'll be alright.:)

Overall, I'm pumped..I hope Yao Ming can come in and play effectively right off the bat...if he does, combined with the much more improved output from the 3 and 4...We will be in great shape this year..Playoffs here we come!

I'm also very excited about the upcoming season.

We have such a solid bench that it's ridiculous. In fact, many of the starters and bench players are interchangeable as starters. For example, Eddie Griffin and Mo Taylor. Glen Rice and Kenny Thomas.

The Ming/Cato combination at center fills our needs at that position.

Francis and Mobley are studs at their positions.

This team is going to be tearing it up. It's going to be nice to watch Rocket's playoff games again.

Nobody wants to admit they will have to adjust thier line up to play the rockets and stay within double digits.

I think the rockets will have the highest scoring average this year if they concentrait on D.

Usually defensive teams have low scoring averages because they slow the game down so much, so I don't see this happening. I do agree that they will have a hard time matching up with us which is total Rudy ball. He looks for mismatches and exploits them.

I dont't want the Rockets to get a big ego knowing they are going to make the playoffs, but to prove to the league that they will make it. Pre-season is nothing, you can tell during the Suns vs Rockets games that the starters were not even trying but just trying to get back in good condition. But the win helps the bench players a lot to keep their confidence up knowing they did a good job and push to be better than they really are.

Guys, Guys, why fight? You can never be too safe when taping a Rockets game, I mean 'cmon, having back-up isn't always bad, now is it? And that way, if someone tapes over the game for some silly event, you still have copy of it somewhere. i mean, when we take the championships this year, somebody's gotta want some proof. Just some thoughts. Happy trails.
