I recently stayed in downtown and really enjoyed the music and restaurants. Lots to do. I talked to people about a loft to purchase, and would be interested in an unfinished- warehouse type loft.

Is anyone here familiar with the loft market?

I would also be interested in a one bedroom-finished loft to purchase.

    Any info will be appreciated.

You should probably look into the Rice Lofts in Downtown, or the Post Oak lofts in midtown.

Ranches are where it's at. Lofts are for soft people. :)

If every loft in this town was burnt to the ground, the pretentious yuppie population of Houston would experience a demographic collapse.

TBar, I actually know someone selling a loft in downtown. He lives in the Bayou Lofts right off of Franklin inbetween Travis and Main. If interested, let me know and maybe I could set something up between you guys.

If you don't mind me asking, how much does one expect to pay for a loft in Houston (and how many square feet is typical)?

Back in my apartment living days I checked out the lowest priced rooms at the Rice lofts. They were no bigger than a hotel room. And the storage space was horrible. They do have much bigger rooms but you'll pay out the ass.
