Just don't invite Frank Grimes aka "Grimey" when you are going to have your lobster. Not a good idea.
depends on what type of lobster you are getting....go with northern lobster aka maine lobster. clarify some butter then poach the lobster in the clarified butter. serve it over a bed of marinated red and golden beets. enjoy.
Check foodtv.com for recipes. I know Alton Brown did a "good eats" on Lobster once. His directions are straight forward and easy to follow.
A.K.A. CRACK! Those things are evil but good. Each one probably has 5000 calories and 2000 grams of fat.
My mom had lobster every day while she was pregnant with me. She says its my fault, but I always claim that she probably just used me as an excuse to get away with it. Funny thing is, I can't stand seafood...
It sure does. Make sure you go ahead and cook up 6 lobsters for you and your girl, and eat up good, too.
If it does then why did your mom eat so much when she was pregnant with you? High mercury levels are to be avoided during pregnancy or so I've been told.
I read somewhere that they are MORE likely to have increased mercury levels since they are always on the bottom.
I was joking. I have no idea whether they do or do not. Furthermore, my mom ate them because she claimed she had a pregnancy related craving for them. Like pickles and ice cream, only... not.
I boil mine in a mix of water and Shiner (50/50) and I usually throw a pinch of whatever hot sauces I have in the fridge on that particular day. I actually do that for all my boiled seafood.
