I know many of the people on this BBS are familiar with Linux, so I figured I'd post this.

I recently acquired an old Pentium 60 (one of the very first pentiums, with the flawed CPU and everything!) and I'm thinking of turning it into a Linux box.

The trouble is, I'm not what you'd call a super heavy duty techie and this would probably be a major undertaking for me. I mean, I'm not a total moron, but I'm not going to kid myself and claim I'm some sort of PC guru or anything.

What I'm looking for are tips or a few good beginner guides to installing and managing Linux, and some examples of what you can do with it once it's all set up. I'm familiar with the most basic of unix commands (ls, finger, whois, etc..) from University.

If it matters, the system specs are: (P-60, 16 MB Ram, 700 MB HD, 2x CDRom, 14.4 modem, an old Kingston Ethernet card).

If it's feasible, I'm thinking of turning it into a hub so I can hook both mine and my sister's machine up to it so we can both use my ADSL service.

So are there any good guides out there that you know of? this one gives some basic information, but isn't quite what I'm looking for.

Any advice, suggestions or urls would be very much appreciated.
