this is how i want the lineup 2 look on opening day

    Cato
    Thomas
Anderson(i had 2 get cuttino into the starting lineup
    Cuttino
    Drew

no im just kidding. francis of course at pg

i think that would be a lineup that could make the 8th spot especially if there are any key injuries 2 other teams. but im more excited about 2001

    Cato
    Webber(i hope)
    Terrence Thomas(i hope)
Mobley(i think shandon might opt out if not they would fight for this spot
    and of course Francis

That team is a contender i think a top 3 pf top 10 center terrence will be a rookie so im not sure exactly how good he will be
mobley will probably be a top 10 sg and francis will probably be a top 3 pg

    what u guys think?

First of all, I don't want to see Kenny Thomas as our starting PF. I want to see someone brought in for the exception to do that. And Cat, by the way, is better suited off the bench. All that matters is for him to get starters MINUTES, which he can get as a spark off the bench. Shandon is also too small to start and regularly play at SF. Here is how I envision the roster to be on opening day:

    Hakeem
PF brought in with trade exception (Fizer, O'Neal?)
    Walt
    Shandon
    Steve

And by the way, it's Terrance Morris, not Terrance Thomas.

Kenny Thomas is just as proven as Jermaine O'Neal and comes much cheaper.

i like kenny thomas he showed some potential. he has lost a lot of weight though which im not sure helped him, before he had the strenght and agality. shandon guarded most of 3's besides the garnetts and keon clarks. walt is good but i like him off the bench more than cuttino, moochie and lanky i mean langhi will be sparks off the bench. what are ure thougts on putting cato and dream in the starting lineup i dont particularly like it

Just as proven? Of course. Kenny Thomas is more proven than Kenyon Martin and Stromile Swift too. O'Neal would almost be like a rookie, since as a Blazer he has never had any legitimate minutes at all. While Kenny may be proven, the gap in talent between him and O'Neal is substantial. O'Neal can be an elite PF with work. Kenny can at best become an average PF with work. That "proven" argument doesn't hold water here.

You stole my "Drew starting at PG" joke, and it wasn't even good when I used it.

I definitely want to see Dream and Cato on the floor at the same time. I'm not sure whether Cato would do well at the PF or not...we'd have to see him there for a while. I think that it would be easier for him to do center because there are less high offense centers than there are PFs. Dream would probably be able to mix it up well with the PFs. I also want to give walt the start after the way he went out last season. I think he will continue that kind of offense. So, I guess this would be my lineup.
    C - Cato
    PF- Dream
    SF- Walt
    SG- Anderson
    PG- Drew

Just kidding. PG- Francis. Had some of you all worried there didn't I?

Kenny Thomas is too inconsistent. I agree with Cat on getting a powerforward but I don't think Hakeem should start I think Cato should. What do yall think it would take to get O'neal. I would rather have him than Fizer. That would be a nice defensive frontcourt.

I don't know about the O'neal idea. I wouldn't expect anything speacil from him. I would love the Rockets to get Bo Outlaw somehow. Lets just hope those trade rejections were false!

O'Neal has about 3 times the talent of Outlaw. And Outlaw already resigned with the Magic, so you can put that idea away, as he can't be traded until December 15 at the earliest.
