I really only use YouTube to download music that other YouTube users have mixed (stuff I won't find anywhere else). The quality is actually pretty good. i.e. <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/CMEvhswGurk?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/CMEvhswGurk?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>
Demonoid is my #1 location. Youtube for stuff I can't find elsewhere. Or I try to find HD quality music vids and play them on an SD card in my Truck's stereo.
Limewire? People still use Limewire enough to be affected by its shutdown!? Welcome to 2001. I just assumed with the advent of torrents everyone dropped kazaa, bearshare and limewire.
Oh man hearing those names bring me wayyy back. I totally forgot about their existence. Wasn't morpheus one too?
Youtube = 92kbps! yea!!!! anyway...if I cant find what I'm looking for in one of these 3 places... The Siren Sound Silence is Also a Sound Bandcamp then I have one more place I go that shall remain nameless.
WTF downloading music off YouTube videos cannot compare to a 320 kbps song from torrents or Limewire. And for those of you who appreciate or can discern higher audio quality music, FLAC is the way to go and it simply isn't feasible to listen through streaming as of now. For those asking, use Limewire Pirate Edition (runs perfectly for me) or torrent.
