I think Venus used to be like Earth, and Earth will turn into something like Venus.

If by "life" you simply mean living organisms, then yes.

If by "life" you mean intelligent beings...I highly doubt it.

I think Venus and earth formed at the same time about 4.6 billion years ago.

There is no good reason to think that Venus was ever as cool as Earth is now. It began as a molten hot rock, and it's still hot.

As for Mars, I think it's unlikely that there was ever life, but if it is ever proven to have occurred then the Drake equation would point to the certainty of life elsewhere in the cosmos.

Mars is nothing more than the result of global warming.
Humans didn't get it right the 1st time
    then migrated to this planet
    and
are slowly doing the same thing here

i wonder how many folx will take this post seriously

I thought it was hot because it was hit by something relatively recently, which also gave it the opposite spin direction than any other planet in the solar system?

It's possible, but you would think there would be a debris field, rings or something similar left over. If you're talking 2 billion years ago... then perhaps but that doesn't give Venus much time to cool from it's initial formation and it's proximity to the Sun and similar mass to Earth makes it really difficult to imagine Venus ever being cool. Plus, Venus is all into l33t speak and we all know how cool that is.

I don't believe there is intelligent life, but think there could be traces of microbiology taking place. There more we learn about the planet the closer it seems we are.

I personally believe we should be looking elsewhere as well. We start doing that and our chances go up I think. Places like Europa or even Titan could prove interesting.

If life is confirmed, does that mean we wont be allowed to terraform it?

So did you combine Clutchfans' two mass thread topics and make this thread??

Life on mars had a zillion threads that one time
Threads dealing with polls had a zillion that one time
    <br>
What could be better than combining the two??

    30 Seconds to Mars Volta

Some deeper digging into the Mars and Venus surface would have to take place to see if there was anything close to intelligent life. If things were to fossilize on those planets like it does on Earth.
