I bought a TL in 2001 and didn't get much off....I think sticker was 28,800 and I ended up getting it for 28,000.

drapg - If you're worried about interest rates, why don't you just finance on your own? I always finance through my credit union and get good rates. I think right now their rates on new cars is 3.9%. Also, I usually ask to deal with the Fleet manager since I'm going this route. I'm not sure if they really give me better deals than the average joe, but I like to think so.

    try this:

email danny at grubbs infiniti in dallas: dmayer@grubbs.com

ask him if you can still get VPP prices on g35 coupes. thats probably the best price you can get

    Nissan/Infiniti VPP: http://www.insidenissan.com/vpp/vendor/offer.html

normally, this program is available only to people that meet certain requirements. but grubbs was making an exception and selling it to everyone. but i'm not sure if they are still doing it, so email him.

this offer may also be available for those people interested in m35/m45

do you have a 2005 model? maybe the buzz died down?

at one Acura forum people are saying they've gotten the TL w/Navi at $33.5 or around that area..

    I hate buying cars!

My deal is at Westside Infiniti.

Jeez, someone else from there just called me and wants to make a deal on the phone right now.

He seems to be their closer.

He just called and gave me a quote on the car I want, trying to find out if I'm willing to buy today.

Not sure if its a good rate or not...

Is he going to wonder how I got his name? Can I email you through the board and ask your name so I can give him a reference of how I was able to find him?

    WHHHAAAATTT??!

Seriously...I didn't want to read up in here because I figured there is no point in arguing refined ride vs performance cars.

I'm still working on how to get that '07 Shelby GT500...I found out that there are booting the IRS and sticking to the solid rear axle!!! How's that for a kick in the old "refined ride's" nuts!

To quote from a great movie...

"It will be mine. Oh yes...it will be mine"

There is alot of people raving about Grubbs on g35driver.com. They said they were able to purchase the vehicle for 1.5% over invoice and get 1.9% or 2.9% apr. If I cant find a local dealer in Houston to give me that deal, I'll order one from Grubbs.

Talked to Grubb's rep in Dallas. He quoted me $700 over invoice w/o TTL.

But I'd have to drive the car back to Houston. Don't like the idea of putting 300 miles on the car and stressing the engine right out of the gate.

I think I'll let the Houston dealership try to match, even though they laughed me off the phone when I told them I'd buy it right now for $250 under invoice.

hey, I thought they were trying to meet quotas! Who's got who(m) over the barrel here, right?

DrapG, a couple of dealerships in town are offering me $1,000 over invoice. I think I talked one down to a little less, if your interested I'll give you his email and you can contact him.

Hmm... not sure why that was so hard to come down on. I don't believe that was a redesign year.

It's all about supply and demand. The IS300 has been out since 2001 and the dealerships we're only offering 1,000 off msrp when I asked last month.

Nope bought a 2004 in 2003. The buzz has definitely died down and you can now get it for for cheaper. The supply of the navi's is back up and so is the supply of the car itself. ;)

The guy at WS was offering 1700 over invoice and wouldn't go a penny less.

His subordinate (my sales guy) said he would go in and "fight for me."

I'll give the other dealerships in town the opportunity to match Mr. Grubbs before deciding whether its worth trekking to Dallas.

lol. "Fight for you". Christ, they've been using that line for ages... he's just trying to make it seem like he's on your side and doing the best he can. Tell him to come up with new scams... wait... don't... I got kicked out of Mossy Nissan for telling a sales guy that once. :D

You shouldn't have to trek anywhere. Deal over the phone and/or fax. When I bought my TL, I negotiated for 1 week with a dealership in Houston. The only time I ever went there was the day I went to pick the thing up. I never met the sales lady until I took the keys from her. I'm in Dallas, btw.

Well the guy "fought for me" and said if I purchase today (last day of the sales month), he can do it at $200 more than Grubbs.

    They close at 8pm.

    Decisions, decisions.
