A lot of you must be like me: overwhelmed by the full implications of Doc Rocket's info. The big tail of that thread has become indigestable. I propose we break it down and do the three alleged new additions, PG from East, SG from East, PF from West, one thread at a time.

The poll above is your prediction of who will be our starting PG next year. The 9 choices are all Eastern Conference PGs whom got mentioned the most by posters here. (I'm assuming that Doc's info about Francis moving to the 2 is certain.)

And post your wish lists, analyses, etc. But please limit it to the PG position.

Moderator, if you think this thread should belong to the main Doc Rocket's thread, please merge it. I won't feel bad. :)

    GP #1, Snow #2
    3/4 Crawford/Terry

GP in a SnT sounds terrific, tho what language and moods would Yao become a part of?

Jamal Crawford... please ... I'm in Chicago. I watched his game alot. The guy isn't as good as Snow, Sam... right now. But his game is improving, in a rapid pace. He's long, atheletic, smart, and a hardworking defender.

Crawford and SF. my dream backcourt.

but...who would Paxson take from Rox? They need a slaher or a sold SG.... but not Jalen Rose type...

Oh, my bad. I missed Alvin Williams. He should be on the list. I can't edit the poll. If I could, I'd substitute Hughes with Williams.

Alvin Williams - he'll take care of the ball, not turn it over, help on defense, stick his shot.

I hate Crawford as a Rocket. Terrible thinking. What does he shoot - 39%? Not a pg, careless, ugh.

You stole my thunder, I agree that the Rox should make the effort to get him, not some player that is half past it!

If Francis really becomes a full-time SG, we need a full-time PG that can make Francis better than he is as a PG. This guy needs to know how to win and is not afraid to get on Francis on and off the court when he doesn't behave. It is quite obvious now that Francis doesn't listen to the coaches. So the veteran guard need to take that role.

That has to be a veteran that commands almost universal respect. That's why guys like Miller, Tinsley, Crawford, or even Cassell won't fill the bill (not to mention rookies such as Ford). The only ones that fit are Kidd and Payton. Kidd cannot be had short of trading Francis himself away. So that leaves Payton.

I don't really know what to think of Payton. I believe he will definitely make the team and Francis better. But what do we have to give up for him?

J-Craw. Orange knows what he's talking about. Steve and Jamal in the same backcourt would be bad@$$.

If Hubie Brown can change Jason Williams, there got be someone out there able to deal with Steve. I don't think Rudy should share his responsibility with a veteran PG.

    Okay.

    I WISH JASON KIDD.

    But probably not.

It will probably be Steve Francis...

    but I hope Jason Kidd.

    Or Gary Payton.

Of that list...all would be great. :D

Just don't know how we would get them.

Terry is a shooter, but he has played PG this year. And he has played great!
He averaged 7.4 apg, just shy of Tinsley's 7.5, more than Nash, Miller, Snow, Arenas, Francis and Cassel to name a few.
He doesn't turn it over as much as Francis, Kidd or Marbury either.
And I don't see why the point that he is a shooter as a problem.
Trade Cat for Terry straght up, if ATL accepts it... But after missing the playoffs again, they are definetly going to make some major changes there.
    Give it a shot!

Heck no. Terry is way too small and his defense is not that great.

It would have to be at least Terry and a 2nd Round Draft Pick...

I don't know how much he makes either...might not balance.

SAM CASSELL PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!! Trade Mobley for Cassell straight up. :D

The Jazz players are allegedly sick of him, so he will probably want to be moving along.

Tinsley scored around 8+ points a game, was top 15 in assists, and top 10 in steals. He's still in his rookie contract, so he's affordable ... we could probably trade EG for Tinsley straight up (as far as matching dollar signs goes, anyway).

We want role players, not superstars (we have 2 all stars). Therefore, I'm starting the grass roots campaign to put Tinsley in Rockets red.

    Make it happen.
