Those opening minutes for Jordan Hill were brutal. Its pretty clear that Adelman is more comfortable with Patterson, already.
Agreed. He just looks lost on defense. I feel very uncomfortable giving him starter minutes while Chuck's out over this stretch. At least he'll foul way his way out of those minutes..
Every time people get excited about him I laugh because the guy is clueless out there and you can never win with guys like that unless you have three batters out there to clean up his mistakes. Great athlete but at the end of the day he just is too clueless to ever be a real good player.
A box of rocks at least would beat a box of scissors. I think Swift, Wilcox, and Hill would get injured given a box of scissors.
Very, very true. I noticed in the video/interview on Rockets.com that Adelman stated over and over how he is VERY comfortable w/ Patterson. He used the word TRUST like 3 or 4 times...I trust Patrick out there yada yada. I have never heard Adelman speak in those terms about Jordan Hill. He says the opposite about hill. He is inconsistent, can't trust him to run the high post offense, seems to fade in and out, loses focus, they coaching staff has to ask him repeatedly "do you get it" "do you understand". SELL HIGH before others figure it out. Trade Hill for a real center.
Jordan Hill is a project. People need to understand this. It is his second year in the league and he's only been playing organized basketball for a few years now. It's going to take him a while to figure out what he's doing. But, he's no knucklehead. He seems willing to learn and like he's a coachable guy. He's made steady improvement over the last year. It's going to take time to develop, but he has the potential to be a really good player. Growing pains like this are going to happen though.
This is unbelievable. Jordan Hill struggled tonight and made a few mistakes so you have to create a whole thread bashing him..... Its stupid threads like this that makes CF less entertaining. It makes us Houston Rockets fans look more like LA or knicks fans.
Like it or not, not everyone on the team is going to be a scholar. I'd take a team of super-athletic r****ds over the Mr. Intangible squad all day.
Lately? It's the flavor of the month club around here. Jordan Hill was a GOD not too long ago, but Patrick will get his turn. He just needs to have a game where he scores 12 points or more. The TWill bandwagon is being built as we speak!
