    I've heard Worrell call him "The Gentle Giant" and "The Friendly Giant".

    How about "King Ming"? :D

    i think "long king" is better.
    "long" in Chinese means 龙(dragon,but i don't think the translate is proper.)dragon is evil,but "long" in Chinese is king and power, and is admired by his people.
    james is "little king",our ming is "long king".
    sorry for my Chinese English.

    Yao is like Shaq, no matter how hard ppl try to give them nicknames they'll always be known as their respective names.

    Yao has already been officially nick-named as "Chairman" for a long time ( in chinese BBS).
    I'm just loving it cause it reminds me of something like "Godfather"
