I was at Toyota Center when they drafted Gay. I also heard the collective groans and pissed off moans when they announced they traded him to Memphis for Battier. :(

come on guys, you know unless it a deal like Brad Miller for Yao, the Maloof brothers would never have any trade with Rockets under Adalman ;)

How about we go after Larry Hughs. He doesn't fit tha Cleveland offense and i think can use a change of scenery. CLeveland want some guards so throw Head, Francis, Snyder and if we have to second rounder for Hughs.

    Or

    James and Head for Hughs

really don't like hughs that much outside artest really isn't anything out there for us maybe maggette from the clippers. he makes it to the freethrow line and attacks the basket all the time.

I'd trade for Ron, but not for Bibby. A team with Artest and Battier would be very good defensively.

Skip, AB and a draft pick for Artest.

If we somehow got Artest, I would be in heaven. He's crazy but he plays with a passion.

Imagine a player that has all the intangibles and can score on his own.

Imagine Artest, McGrady, Bonzi, and Francis in a game at the same time.

Hell no  Hughes got his ridiculous contract because of his FG% and defense(especially steal, he was in the 1st or 2nd denfense team) in Washinton but now he is easily injured and most important, he just CAN'T SHOOT LIKE OUR PG!

I'd like Magetter but we're loaded at ths 2/3 spot. We strictly need to upgrade/trade for tha pg and pf spot(no i'm not satisfied at this spot)

you give up battier for maggette.

    pg
    maggette
    tracy
    hayes
    yao

more scoring and attitude with maggette doesn't need tracy to create a shot for him plus tracy can go back to small forward

If yesterdays game was anything to go by I would think it would be difficult but not impossible to trade Battier. His intangibles were very intangible! :p

Then who do we have a defensive specialists. You see last night, Kobe went off on our Guards because Battier got in foul trouble early, but as soon as tha second half came and BAttier got on em, Kobe was quiest. I'd trade James, Bonzi, or Head before Battier.

Regardless(and i disagree), he is our best defender, and we need a good defender out there. But we do need offense and ppl who can get out and run and finish, and Battier isn't good on tha fast break , and he has horrible handles.

Kobe never really tears Battier up at all. He might get 40 pts but its off 40 shots. Its guaranteed that Snyder gets lit up though. Even JVG said so last night. It was not a coincidence that the same exact thing happened last night in the 2nd.

If the Rockets get rid of Rafer, they need to get something good in return for him. Sadly as it has turned out so far in this young season, the PGs the Rockets got over the summer are currently not upgrades over Rafer at this time for the team's starting PG position.
