It looks like Jon Huntsman is considering a 2012 presidential bid. Does he have a chance? Many don't, including Obama it seems, think so since he's too moderate (pro civil union, serving as ambassador to China in Obama administration) in the Tea Party era. Not to mention he's a Mormon. http://www.npr.org/blogs/itsallpolitics/2011/01/31/133369742/a-jon-huntsman-presidential-bid
I haven't followed Jon Huntsman's tenure as governor of Utah so I don't have much of an opinion on him. I will comment though that it is pretty sad that serving as a ambassador to the PRC under the Obama Admin. is going to be the kiss of death for his chances in the Republican primary and just shows how problematic the Tea Party influence is. The most controversial policies that Obama has enacted are domestic. Huntsman has had nothing to do with those and its sad that just being a part of the Obama Admin might doom his chances.
