you can find the full video on YT now Mir was getting pounded. I think if there is no rule, Brock would have ripped him apart already. But, all it took is one move for Mir to win the fight. Martial arts rule
the ref did mir a favor to break up the the beating he was recieving thats why frank turn his head so he can get hit by brock from the back as a desperation move similar to a boxer spitting out their mouthpiece in middle of a flurry that could lead to a tko.
How Mir survived that pounding from Lesnar is beyond me. If it were a no rules fight, yeah, Mir would have been killed by Lesnar on that first takedown-pounding. Loved the finesse move by Mir to get that knee, though
If Lesnar keeps dedicating himself and learns submission-defenses and learns a couple of submissions himself (not that he really needs them) he will be nearly impossible to beat.
i thought it was funny that at one point, Brock was grabbing both of Mir's foot. looked like he could either rape him or stomp on his nuts. i guess the rules don't allow that

lesnar did look very impressive during that tyson-esque first rush. i wanted to see how his conditioning was so i was hoping the fight would go longer. he is AMAZINGLY fast for a guy that size...hell he is quick for a guy any size. mir was smart allowing that punch to the back of the head. great fight even though it was short. mir's experience and bjj came thru in the end. it's going to be great watching lesnar develop over the next couple of years. the guy looks like he has the right attitude and he definitely has the skill set to be very good in ufc.
Big rookie mistake by Lesnar that cost him the match. But that was a good lesson for him. He's got a great potential in this league.
Lesnar just got too excited and wasn't careful enough. He was beating up on Mir up until the last 5 seconds but you could see it was a rookie mistake basically. He looked impressive though.
He should have had a tuneup match before fighting Mir. Mir is a pretty decent fighter. If the ref didn't restart the match, who knows how this fight would have ended.
