He played okay but it was nothing special. I like the 6 asst though in 23 min. thats always impressive. The 0 PT 3 TO 3rd quarter wasn't too good though including the facial he recieved. Until he drops 32 on another good young player like EG did Amare, his summer league numbers won't impress me.
LOL... No lebron can do graphs... he did one for this really small kid who had a video tape for him of his highlights and his life story... Maybe i need 2 find something unique for bron so he'll sign for me
Game #2: A loss to Miami. Dwayne Wade hit the go-ahead winning jumper with 4 secs left. LeBron had 17pt on 7-18 shooting. http://www.nba.com/magic/news/Pepsi_Pro_Summer_League_Game_-79948-66.html
James's full line for game 2 available here. 23 LeBron James * 29min 7 fg made 18 fg shots 0 3's made 3 3's shot 3 FT made 5 FT shot 0 Off. rbs 2 def. rebs 2 total rebs 3 assists 4 fouls 3 steals 5 turnovers 0 blocks 17 points
James had 17 points, two rebounds and three assists in 29 minutes against Miami, compared to 16 points, seven rebounds and six assists in 23 minutes the night before against the Magic. This should be made our official Lebron James thread!
LeBron will not be a star until his shot becomes fluid. But even w/o a shot he can be a very good player because of his unmatched athletic ability and his court vision. I like what Im seeing so far.
Ok I don't understand this. The Cavs secong summer league game was closed to the public! What the hell is the NBA thinking? For a league that has been down in attendance for the last few years this doesn't make sense. Obviously the public wants to see and is willing to pay to see James play. Give the fans what they want and both sides win.
The Magic have historically had their summer league games closed to the public, only changing their policy for one game due to fan request. It's not exactly a money-making proposition...and the evaluation of players is better done in a closed environment, and that's what the summer league is supposed to be for.
"Afterward, James said he won't play the final three games of the Orlando summer league." ......then he won't be going to practice....
How come nobody is talking about his atrocious shooting (12-29 overall, 0-6 from 3) and his 1/1 A/TO ratio (9 assists, 9 turnovers). Yet you here crap like "he dominated" and stuff. Sure he has great talent--but I'll bet he leads the league in TOs, makes Francis A/TO look good, and has one of the worst FG% (sub-40) of any player scoring over 13PPG next year when he starts playing real players and real teams. Again, the player is talented, but the hype and blindness of his evaluations is getting harder and harder to stomach. Let's emphasize his TOs, bad defense and poor shooting every bit as much as his positive stats, just as you would any other NBA player.
Desert Scar, I asked David Aldridge the same question last night to no avail. Keith Bogans lit him up for 24 in game 1, and Dwayne Wade hit the winning jumper over him yesterday. Obviously, his defense needs work...but the hype is too incredible to hear any of it.
If you're saying that LeBron thinks he's too good for summer league and practice, then that's jumping the gun. He's going to a family member's(or friend's) wedding. Summer league isn't even required. Bogans didn't score that many points with LeBron on him, he scored most of them when Bron was on the bench. Reece Gaines gave LeBron trouble though, but I wouldn't call his defense terrible. He played about 50 minutes in two games, and too many people are getting on him about how he's going to suck next year. Nobody has said that he dominated. I have not seen a single post that said he dominated, so don't just go and say that he'll lead the NBA in turnovers and have the lowest pct. in the league. It's not fair to dub him as great or overhyped yet.
I thought King James was gonna score as said to be like Kobe, dunk like Jordan and pass like Magic. Lol. That was a good one.
If you're saying that he'll never be able to do those things after watching his first two games out of high school then you're crazy.
That's not what I meant. You do realize that to be even mentioned to have the potential of becoming NBA legends requires more than some high school domination and average summer league games? I won't jump the gun along with the hype. I don't see a damn thing in LeBron yet to stick that "potential of becoming the mix of THREE all time greatest players" label onto his King Shames a$$.
not bad, to me hes the type of player who could eventually be a triple double threat every night. Im sure he will get a few before the summer is over
