Steve should know that criticism is coming especially since he is a 3 time all star. We should't feel sorry for him. That is part of being an NBA all star player along with the money and fame. Steve has great talent but is not smart when it comes to basketball knowledge. For example, that double foul with jacque vaugn was stupid and immature especially for a 4 1/2 year player.
I'll leave Steve Francis alone when: (1) he can pass the ball at a 2.5 or better assist to turnover ratio; (2) he can effectively run an offense; (3) he shoots the ball at or better than 45%; and (4) he understands that he is a max player making 25% more than he deserves. Steve doesn't suck, but he's also not a point guard. Either he slides to the shooting guard spot, Cat comes off the bench, or either Steve or Cuttino gets traded. A real point guard is and always has been needed. Steve needs to ball in his hands and free reign to call his own number in order to put up numbers. I say trade his ass this offseason.

There were talks about how seattle might not have enough money to give to ray allen for a contract extension, so he could be traded, but i dont see why they would trade for steve since they already have a decent pg in Antonio Daniels and a good prospect in luke ridnour.
madmonkey, That is what makes the deal so appealing. We would gladly take back BBarry or Ridnour with Allen for Steve. Think about two snipers like Barry/Ridnour and Ray-Ray surrounding Yao in the post, along with JJ. Almost brings tears to my eyes. And for the rest of you... I will leave Steve alone when he is no longer on the team.
Now, this is the most baffling part...Steve's value is plummeting? How is that? Do you have daily conversations with NBA GM's on the value of Steve Francis? Did you notice the number of trade rumors involving Steve before the deadline? And those were going on when he was in the biggest shooting slump of his career. CD's phone would be ringing off the hook if he put Steve on the trade block...
No, You need to watch the games more closely and if you take your eyes off Yao for a second you would see that there are other guys on the court as well. Steve and JJ are the only players on this team that play with the most heart every game. You need to get off Yao's Dick and realize that steve is getting him ball, sure he ain't hitting his shots but dude is trying. You fans only want YAO to freaking shoot but there are other players on this team who can score and score consistently, like Cat, JJ, and taylor. Yao is a good player but not good enough to lead this team.
Ok, Steves value seems to going down at a considerable rate. Don't you think that gms over the league would be hesitate to trade for a make contract player who is having a bad year and has no playoff exeirience for another allstar in return such as a ray allen?
