this is great news for the rockets. http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news;_ylt=AjS8jeLGHudToJATLx_Xb4G8vLYF?slug=aw-mavsraptorstrade012111
Because A, dallas won't get what they want possibly and B, might face consequences regarding the alleged tampering. It's a big deal in my opinion. It would be great if they get penalized enough to lose their 1st rd pick.
Just read from Marc Stein twitter that the deal will go through, i'm still hoping something gets uncovered.
I misread it at first, but these types of deals always go through..... Same crap happened last year when big Z was traded for Antawn Jamison. Almost impossible to prove tampering like this.
As much as I love Rockets. If that trade does happens, I'm going to hate Dallas the most in the Western Conference {Jazz would be 2nd most}. Because Peja is an alright veteran player.
tampering? we all know lebron-wade-bosh had zero bit of tampering..this league is as pure as as league can get..which idiot doesnt know that
Cuban's outrageous behavior coming back to bite him. This kind of crap goes on all of the time, but when you keep the spotlight on yourself, you get scrutinized.
simple addition "To create a roster spot for Stojakovic – who had almost immediately committed to the Mavericks – Dallas agreed to send the Raptors the 7-foot Ajinca" + "the NBA has held up a trade to send Mavs forward Alexis Ajinca(notes) to the Raptors"
Impossible to prove this? Is that because of how obvious it was? I mean ****, it (by it, I mean, "Raptors to buy out Peja, expected to sign with Mavs") was on every single sports news outlet before anything was even official. I remember my friend telling me 2 days ago, "Peja to Mavs" and I said "I didn't even know he was a free agent."
What is with this trend of quoting yourself and responding. I mean either imply it or edit your post. Its fricking weird to talk to yourself, even online.
Damn, it hurts to see us @11th place of the western conference. I'm actually surprised; we're actually proving the critics right from preseason's prediction of 12th place. Maybe because it (temporarily) keeps the Mavs from getting better- and they are southwest* division rivals? Idk but that really is just a guess.. /
Dallas is better than us with or without Peja. Nothing is going to happen to Dallas. The article says the trade is currently held up but is still expected to go through. Even if it doesn't, Mavs are still better and whatever punishment they get won't help us catch up any. This has little to no effect on the Rockets. It's not bad news for us, but it's hardly "great".
That's your opinion as a fan. But Dallas' mgmt thinks otherwise. And as a fan, any bad news on a rival no matte how little or temporary it is is still great news with the type pf season we're getting. That was what the OP's thinking as well when he came up with that comment. Tt's not like he used it as the thread title.
