If anyone still wants to go to the last game of the season vs. Minnesota, I need to know TODAY!!! Send me an email at jeff@clutchcity.net and I'll add you to the list.

We have OVER 100 people committed including yours truly and Clutch. We'll be ordering the tickets in the morning, so I need to get a count tonight. Thank you!

I'm going to go down to Houston for this one so if any of the guys in Austin want to come along lets plan a caravan.

Also, as Jeff said, we have over 100 people coming. I'm also putting up the money for this (which is at $1500 at this point) so we'll need everyone who has committed to tickets to send in money before too long and we'll get you the tickets sent out as well (Jeff will post details on this).

Though the tickets are $13 it will probably be about $15 per person. This will give us some flexibility to do something after the game, or get something like banners for the game, whatever. Also a security blanket if some we bought tickets for can no longer come. A friend and I did this in Utah for a Rockets-Jazz game in 96 and 97 and there were 110 people who came to it. No profit will be made. If anything goes over the cost it will be spent somehow for the group.

    Get there early...
First 10,000 get Hakeem bobble-head dolls (lets hope that's not just a rumor) and if I don't get one I will take out some kid in order to go home with one (kidding... teenagers maybe)

If you're not sure about coming, definitely come. It's a relatively cheap night out, get to see the Rockets in a game with possible playoff implications and you might very well see Dream's last game in a Rocket uniform. In fact that's a pretty good bet.

WOW, glad you are coming Clutch, especially after your all-nighter last year for the Barkley bash.

This is quite an event to set up. thx. What are your plans for cc.net meetings before and after. Are you talking about things at the Summit, or away from it?

Remember Kinneally's last year. I normally wouldn't suggest an after-game gathering point like that for such a big crowd, but John the owner has become a big time sponsor of Rockets events, lately. Kinneally's is mentioned every game on TV lately as having a "Single's Night" or something to do at their place.

They have an outdoor patio area that doesn't get too smokey. It might not be too much trouble to get John to reserve that area for after the game. He might even do a wrist band thing to support minors. Hell, I will bet Rudy will show up like he did last year after the Barkley game. Kinneally's for some reason or another is getting a rep for being a coaches hangout.

Anyhow, whatever you decide will be great. It is enough just to meet as many people as possible. Too bad this is not a weekend so Behad or Pole could bbq, and we could have a basketball game before hand. That would be grand.

heyp: Not sure about plans yet. Working on them now. Most likely, it will be post-game rather than pre.

Just confirming that you got my email Jeff. You've been distant ever since your Three Bodies threw a wedge in our Buddhism.

Could the person(s) organizing the post game festivities recommend a hotel that would be accessible to the airport, the Summitt and the boozing? p.s. I'm unemployed but I do want clean sheets to sleep on.

    CriscoKidd, are you coming up?

You think the Rockets will let you purchase those tickets on layaway, Clutch?

I knew posting in this thread would bring out those extra 60 people that want to beat me up.

Jeff, has Crisco committed yet? If not, put him down.

HP - Kinneally's was great last year, but I have a feeling that this is going to blow away anything of that size....

Clutch - I used to think nothing could top that Jazz game, but this is getting better and better... [IMG]

Darkhorse, yeah, you're right. This is growing beyond anything like that. I don't envy Jeff trying to find a venue big enough.

We'll need a few different bars. Everyone w/ the entire word 'Rocket' in their name go to place (A). Everyone else go to place (B). Anyone under age 21 go to the sev.

Darkhorse & Lynus: I got both of ya.

Achebe: I don't have Crisco down yet. I don't want to put anyone down until they email me. I don't want to be stuck with tickets!

heyp: I'm not sure what we are going to do about a venue, etc. I have a few ideas already and I'm discussing it with some other people as well. We have a little time which is good.
