Any of you who categorically reject the possibility of any sort of conspiracy or collaboration around this incident at this early stage of the investigation, you are just as foolish as those who indicriminately embrace almost any randomly concocted conspiracy theory that someone happens to come up with.

NOBODY is rejecting anything. The only people harping about it are the ones like you constantly posting and talking about it. At this point everybody else is posting/talking about what we know now. You know what group of people have been spreading false info/stupid theories? Its people like you.

You can post a million possible reasons, but none are supported by evidence, therefore you are the fool in this instance. If you have any questions just take a look at your posts/ who is speculating

That's what is so weird about the whole thing. The fact that it might not actually be terrorism. IMO that's considerably worse than if it was just yet another terrorist attack.

I don’t think asking for a shred of proof and believing the FBI and the local sheriff when they say he acted alone is what one would call foolish.

Yes ... of course it’s possible in the future that evidence could come out that opens up some of these theories people have but until there is proof there are just theories and theories with a narrative that fits a poltical agenda which is sick in this case.

What’s sad is people are CHOOSING to have more faith in ISIS and blatantly fake news posts on social media than they are in believing their own FBI and law enforcement. That is what is beyond foolish.

There is nothing wrong with askinq questions or speculating. That is how we as human beings expand the horizons of our understanding, resolve problems and learn things that we previously didn't know.

In fact, if you are not doing that here, then you are not actually thinking for yourself. And that is not good.

Actually I don’t have a problem in this case with people wanting to think out loud and discuss scenarios that help to try and make sense of what might have also been going on... that’s not what has me furious tonight.

What I do have a problem with is that conversation not being prefaced with “I have no evidence ... this is just speculation”. All of these conspiracy theories are presented as bomb shell break throughs that the MSM won’t report for nefarious reasons. That bull crap is absurd. And if I don’t take your word or the word of your Facebook follow as gospel, I’m a stupid liberal. F off man.

I haven't heard any of this so this must mean I'm doing a good job of not socializing with idiots.

I don't even know what the conspiracy theories are and, God willing, I never will.

In my opinion, it's clearly not terrorism. Terrorists always want to make clear their message and their ideology straight away.

But what I'm saying is that with it not being terrorism STILL he should have left a message.
Because he planned for it meticulously over a long period of time, and even put thought to the aftermath with his gf. It wasn't a spur of the moment out of blind rage.
Since he preplanned every detail, he didn't plan to leave his reasoning behind?

The police chief went on a rant about how the guy would have to be Superman in order to put this together by himself. However, they could not announce any of their current findings because it is an active investigation.

The police chief DID SAY THERE WAS EVIDENCE SUGGESTING the killer did not intent to kill himself or be killed by the cops. He had an escape plan.

It’s silly to dismiss any idea at all considering the FBI is not releasing information or evidence to the public as they get it. We’ll find out more much later in the process.

There is no evidence to suggest otherwise. This is right up there with the 9/11 truthers at this point. Why would someone go through great lengths to frame someone for a crime such as this? All the evidence points to Pallock being capable of doing this. There is plenty of evidence of him purchasing all of his weapons. He has had plenty of practice.

I think the problem is people are trying to rationalize a psychopaths thoughts. History is filled with very normal acting psychopaths, many of their crimes remain unsolved. Sometimes their motives die with them and are left a mystery.

Well another things is that he could have left behind a letter or there could be a clear motive that they are simply not releasing right now.

CNN is now reporting he did leave a note and did plan on getting away. Doesn’t really mean anything about terrorism but it is a detail that could make more sense in the future. Is it terrorism though .... well today people will be more afraid of crowds and will be watching out a bit closer during big events like this. The whole point is to keep people inside, scared, and force their government to become more extreme to match the fears of the people.

The conspiracy theories are out of line here and are upsetting, but even though this is likely not ISIS or a liberal secret society attack funded by George Soros to change gun laws, there will still be an affect of terrorism that will still have impact if people continue to act like idiots in response to it and allow it to affect your life and your political extremes. The fact that a lot of people are jumping towards unfounded narrative kind of tells you we are headed to that extreme poltical climate one way or another if we aren’t there yet.

From the Las Vegas Sherriff. Sorry if this messes up anyone's carefully arranged talking points, or contradicts anything you previously watched on CNN, but the Las Vegas Sherriff believes Paddock had to have had help::

Him having accomplices is not hard to believe in and of itself.

Something else, like there is a government-level conspiracy to cover it up because officials were in on it would be harder to believe. It's not only much more specific, the risk entailed is also much higher for the people involved.

A rational person will expect more evidence the more outlandish a theory is. That isn't "political correctness" or a liberal vs conservative thinking. I have no idea why you are framing it in that way.

It appears to some people that many on the left are being defensive against the possibility of a conspiracy, perhaps because of what the possibilities are of who he might have conspired or been involved with. So we have been hearing a lot of per-emptive denials of any possible conspiracies - it is too early for such denials - perhaps in hopes that no one who the Democrat left is supportive of, allied with, or sympathetic to is found to be in cahoots with this guy.

In any case, it is what it is. Maybe it was one of his gambling buddies or someone down from the gun store where he bought his guns. Maybe it was an overseas connection that was introduced by this Australian woman from the Philippians. Maybe it was someone who hated the entire culture of country music, flyover country and people who could dare to try to enjoy themselves after having elected Donald Trump as President of the United States. We do not know at this point.

In any case, the Sheriff of Las Vegas has stated that he believes Paddock had help. If that is right - yesterday you were all saying that if Law Enforcement announced it, that was good enough for you - then the question becomes: Who helped him?

Big shout out to that hotel security guy who ended the rampage early. No telling how many lives he saved just by responding.

I think if the forefathers knew what kind of weapons we would develop they would’ve added restrictions with the 2nd amendment. At the time they would’ve looked like hypocrites if they did anything to restrict firearm ownership thou.

It’s true that unstable folks could kill people with explosives, knives, flamethrowers, Valarian steel swords, etc. , but there’s a reason that guns have been the primary choice...it’s so easy to kill with guns compared to the other methods. I hate to see how bloody this will get when gun technology improves even more than it has already. It’s only going to get worse, but even that won’t be enough to sway people’s opinions :(

He bought a bunch of guns took them to his room, and then started shooting a bunch of people. I don't think you have to be super human or a master planer. I guess he had the foresight to put some camera's up. You can go buy those on amazon pretty easily for not so much money. Obviously guns are easy to buy in America. Maybe he had help, but I don't think what he did was too hard. Its not like he was trying to snipe people from up there. He was just spraying a lot of bullets into a dense crowd.

They also didn't believe blacks=people, and only landing owning men could vote. They had a good document, but they borrowed on thousands of years of history and that document has evolved since then. Lets not pretend they were infallible.

I understand that he took the time to plan this all out but was it really that difficult to do what he did? What kind of training is required to do this?

It's so easy to bring whatever you want into a Las Vegas hotel room without being stopped, especially on a weekend. All he had to do was put the weapons/ammo in dufflebags/suitcases and he was set. He had the funds to buy all the weapons/ammo, assuming by all the descriptions of his life so far and him wiring $100k to his GF in the Philippines. It just doesn't seem like it takes much "training" to do what he did.
