If we still have Francis/Head/Jackson by the deadline would you be willing to ship them all for Larry Hughes? The logic to this is by the time Hughes comes off the books in 2 years same with T-Mac/Alston/Scola it's the same season Wade and LeBron become free agents plus we get to atleast upgrade our size in the back court.

From my understanding Hughes really excells in a up-tempo system and would elevate his game off the bench and brings a little scoring and defense.

How about we just hold on to Steve, Head, and Bobby and let their contract expire after this year and not sign somone to long contract next season.

and that will save more than 12 million dollars and the pain of having to watch Larry Hughes.
How about we bring back Loren Woods and call him a guard instead? That will upgrade backcourt size even more and Loren is just as useful as Larry sitting on the bench.
Since when do the Rockets play a up-tempo system? Hughes is washed up. Done.

why do you assume that lebron or wade will leave the team? I don't see them going anywhere anytime soon.

Larry had 1 good season w/ washington and signed an outrageous contract w/ the cavs.

He's more injury prone the tmac.

So instead of having 2 injury prone players, we would now have 3.. brilliant plan.... NOT

Why wast money on players you cant use for 1 year while spending it on someone with some size? Larry Hughes would be good off the bench for 2 years when he expires and sure is better than Head and Jackson.

So your telling me you can live 1 more year with those 3 players?

Francis is finished money down the drain anyways for 1 year. Jackson is undersized Hughes does exactly what Jackson does and Head gets abused in the post.

Well what ever lolz. I would do it if someone is not better then Hughes for what money there is to spend after next season. I dont think anyone is going to be available anyways so i would take my chance on Hughes atleast coming off the bench and focus on the summer of 2010 or 2011 i forget when James and Wade become free agents and try to restructure our salary.

Thankfully, the Rockets have enough sense not to spend $34 million on the SG position alone for next season.

Well you hope not im just saying i dont think anyone is going to be available in Free Agency after next season anyways for upgrade Hughes still played 70 games last season 60 more than Francis. We need some scoring 14 ppg off the bench is reasonable and can still play decent defense better than Jackson and Head unless we trade assets for upgrade.

Who will be available after next season? I will puke if we are stuck with Head again in a new contract it means we cant upgrade position.

I dont think Chicago would bite anyways. Good for 7th or 8th man and good guy true, but not for his contract when your thinking or looking at next years fa upgrade for specific position its slim and not much of a choice so you look that next year and the same year we will have a ton of money to throw around and not really losing production anywhere for 2 years.

You would think T-mac would take less money if we could land Wade or LeBron teamed with Yao would be scarry.

Moving Head/Jackson/Francis for a specific position to upgrade this year will be nearly impossible.

Chicago might want to unload his contract who knows and the way they are built they might be adding a big after this season anyways.

Is Brand opting out he could end up back in Chicago if that is there target.

Hughes? Awful player. Too weak to play the 2 and too much of a chucker to play 1. Horribly inefficient scorer that's always injured. Complained on the Bulls whenever he had less than 30 minutes a game, making all the fans who liked his acquisition want him traded within 1 month. Has not even shot 41% once the past 3 years and complains about not getting enough shots.

Funny thing is i did not know that i made a guess sure is funny though how Chicago Media believe same thing. If they move Henrich it would be for a possible big or cap relief or even for Brand if they are lucky. If they had plans on resiging him though they might be moving Hughes as well who knows if they cant land him they might even try to use Hughes to land him.

What about Livingston this guy is young has size? Is this guy a FA? can play combo guard?

All you heard when they traded Hughes out of Cleveland was how he didn't have success there because he is not a spot up shooter and he doesn't move well without the ball. Anyone who is going to have alot of success at the 2 with the Rox is gonna have to spot up and shoot and feed the post and cut. So basically Larry Hughes would be Derrek Anderson II
