First off, let me say that I have the utmost respect for Rick Adelman and was elated when he was hired. The guy is headed to Springfield when he's done.
That said, we've entered a new phase with our Rockets. And along with this, of course are rumors of him leaving after this year. If we are truly rebuilding and not just chasing our tails in an attempt to "reload", then I say we need to target Larry Brown. Yes, he's 70 , but this would be the kind of situation he excels in. thoughts?

Larry Brown is the sluttiest of NBA coaches. You don't know he has allowed to blow his whistle.

For what its worth , I think Adleman will be back.

Saw a Morey quote recently that said they "would get that hammered out in the offseason".

Dont ask me where I read it cause I cant remember .... If I could I'd post a link.

True, he's a mercenary that likes a good challenge. But Brown has proven his prowess on numerous occasions.

If Rick comes back then we aren't rebuilding, we're reloading.

What the heck do people see in this guy? Even if he is as good as is claimed, chances are probably good he'd be gone within 2-3 years.

He's burned so many bridges, I still can't believe he gets gigs. That's probably a testament to his reputation at turning mediocre programs around, but I wouldn't take him. He'll give you a good year and then his eye will start wandering, which will become a big distraction by the second year and then he'll cite some unspecified health ailment by the end of the second year and bounce 2/3 of the way through the season. No thanks.

Having been a follow of Larry Brown for many years- I feel that Coach Brown , just like Coach Adelman need to walk away from the game and give a chance for younger men the opportunity to grow in the Coaching Game! :p

If you think JVG runs a bad offense, wait till you see Larry Brown's offense, you will fall asleep before the first half ends.

Doesnt matter what you call it , they are missing a couple pieces.
Most notably a defensive presence in the paint and a wing who can get his own shot and defend.

If for some reason RA doesn't return I would go with Elston Turner.

    you're joking right?

The guy's coaching career hasn't been relevant since the Detroit Pistons days. He's flopped every where he's gone since. Sure he got the Bobcats to the playoffs... but do we really wanna be swept in the first round?

If we're gonna hire a new coach, much rather go towards some new bloods (Elston Turner w/ Sikma or Elie w/ Cassell).

And NO i would not want Jerry SLoan either...

Not sure about Larry Brown, but i would love to hire someone he has mentored....Quin Snyder, that guy is a basketball GENIUS and a players coach. He is more then capable and just needs to be givin his NBA Head Coaching chance...SUCCESS
