Man that was the most humiliating stuff I have EVER seen!! Sorry, but I really don't know about this kid. He just looks too frail to survive in the NBA. I have a feeling he's an injury waiting to happen. ------------------ "Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever." - Gandhi
I missed it... what happened? ------------------ "I personally don't think Jordan would have enjoyed playing with himself." -- JeffB lets us all know that Popeye and Clutch aren't the only ones with inside sources... (also an example of a BBS "sound-bite")
He needs some playing time to get comfortable. He will be alright. DaDakota ------------------ If Mankind evolved from monkeys and apes, then why are there still monkeys and apes?
My god I felt bad for him after that play. He went baseline and got packed hard and got knocked on his ass into the padding under the basket. Hurt his ego more than his body ------------------
Langhi was driving to the basket, off a pick I think, and he and the ball were basically pulled out of the air, he was literally blocked to the floor while the ball was headed down court. UUUUUUUGLY! ------------------ "Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever." - Gandhi
He was fouled, when he gets more minutes he will get that call. DaDakota ------------------ If Mankind evolved from monkeys and apes, then why are there still monkeys and apes?
By who? ------------------ Francis out top, 9 seconds on the clock, he gives a no look pass to Cuttino Mobley, 4 seconds left, Mobley passes to an open Langhi in the corner with 1 second left! Langhi at the buzzer.......YES!!! How Sweet It Is!!
Lewis when he blocked the shot. DaDakota ------------------ If Mankind evolved from monkeys and apes, then why are there still monkeys and apes?
That is why the NBA is going to hell. You shouldn't have to EARN calls. A foul is a foul. Call it the same. ------------------ "Rarely is the question asked: Is our children learning how to put food on their family while being put to death."
Amen ZRB, I am so tired of seeing these refs call ticky tack fouls on young players when they're guarding vets, and then turn around and let the vet push the young guy around. Especially in the west where it seems like all of the good teams have veteran forwards. We don't stand a chance competing against the likes of Chris Webber and Rasheed Wallace as long as the refs make the young guys "earn" their calls. Now I know we profited from this type of officiating back when we had Barkley, but that doesn't make it right. I'm tired of seeing the other teams star player live on the FT line while our young guards and forwards get abused in the paint. ------------------ "I am clearly more popular than Reagan. I saw the play. IMO, the title of this thread should have been "Langhi gets ATTACKED". 100% agree that a foul is foul regardless of the players' experience levels. ------------------ GATER [This message has been edited by GATER (edited January 16, 2001).]
Besides the block, Danforth made a nice move to get to the rim. I mean, he crossed his guy over. That's a real nice move for someone who is 6'11. As Dadakota said, he just needs more time to get that call + become comfortable. ------------------ When 1 door closes another 1 open; but we so often look so long & so regretfully on da closed door, that we dont see the ones that be opening for us - alaskanSnowman
