Rudy told Langhi that he's going to get a lot more pt, so I'm sticking with Langhi over the rookie.

    1. If you're asuming Walt gets traded are you assuming for White? If that's the case then possibly neither Langhi or T-mo is in the top 10 rotation. Stevie, Cat & Moochie will get the minutes at the guards. Anderson will get minutes at both SG & SF. Griff, Mo-T, KT, Cato, Collier and White would probably round out the top 10, with Collier getting minutes at both Center and PF.

    2. If Walt is traded for anotehr peice of crap then I would think Langhi would be the 10th as long as he was effective. But Tmo will still get his chance to play.

    4chuckie,

I have White/Other, Cato and Taylor spending time at the 5 with Collier starting the season on IR. Not because he's unable to play, but they won't need him on the roster with all the other guys.

That's why I have room for Morris or Langhi as the 10th man in the rotation.

Langhi will play ahead of Morris unless something dramatic happens in pre-season to paint a different picture. I think Dan is the better offensive player and Morris slightly better defensively.

I know, Langhi looked lost at times last year. But all he got was scattered minutes of garbage time, often not playing with the other starters. I think Rudy will insert him in the 8 or 9 man rotation and give him every chance to succeed.

The one time I got a look at Morris in the Utah league he was a lost puppy; I also realize you can't draw any conclusions from that game or even the league. It was a pretty paltry group that represented us other than Griffin and these two players. And our guards had no clue how to utilize inside players or take advantage of their skills.

    Langhi.

Morris will have Langhi's last-year job.

You do realize that Langhi had a better senior year in college ball than Morris did in his entire career?

Langhi was an absolute beast his last year at Vandy. Truly great college player... well, on offense at least.

To me, they're too different to make a decision yet. As of now, each could fill a role. langhi's tall and can shoot. Morris is a better defender.

Morris has got to knock down his 3's. Langhi has got to learn how to play defense.

I personally think the first one to improve on their weakness will be the one that gets more minutes. I'm betting on Langhi, since I'm always suspicious of players who decline throughout college.

    haven,

    1. were you suspicious of michael finley? sometimes players are put in positions in college where they just can't fluorish. sf certainly sees this as being true in tmo's case. and after watching him for, oh, eight years, i'd have to agree.

    2. no way was langhi ever as good as tmo's soph & junior years. not even close. he was the best player on a bad team in an inferior conference. the only thing langhi ever did even slightly better than tmo was shoot, and that langhi was picked in the second after having a stelllar senior year only shows that he has a pretty low ceiling potential-wise. i am suspicious of anyone who is sec player of the year but is picked in the second round.

    3. yes, tmo does have to hit the three

The ACC has declined. The SEC is probably at about the same level... particularly during Langhi's senior year. Duke is wonderful... but the rest of the ACC is a lot like any other power conferenec. I'd rathe the ACC, the Big 10, and the SEC tied for #1.

And that Vandy team was pretty good. Most people thought they got robbed in not getting an at-large bid.

The ACC has what? 2 of the 4 final four teams were ACC. And we got 6 (out of 9) teams into the tourney. No other conference can claim that.

Why would either be on the court at the end of a close game? My first choice would be Anderson at SF, then Williams (if he wasn't traded -- and he won't be), then Bullard, then Griffin... and then I'd have to choose between Morris and Langhi.

The ACC did not get two teams in the Final Four Langhi's senior year. Sorry, didn't happen.

And did Wake Forest make the tournament this last year? I don't believe they did.

    This is a debate?

Langhi has the advantage int hat he's already played a year under Rudy T's system and gone through a year of conditioning drills. Right now, Langhi is a much better player than Morris.

    I would choose Morris.

Langhi seems like too much of a loose cannon.

Morris a better defensive player, with pretty good offensive skills.

I quess it depends if you want offense or defense. If you want offense, I would go with Langhi. If you want defense, I'd go with Morris.

I'd go with DL this year for the following reasons...

    - Pure shooter, when he's hot very hard to stop
    - A little bigger and stronger than TMo
    - More experience in NBA
    - More experience in Rockets' system
    - More aggressive offensively in the one game I saw

I'm pretty sure wake forest lost in the 1st round, though I could be wrong. And I never said the ACC had 2 teams in the FF Langhi's senior year. I believe they had 1 (UNC).

Upon review, Wake lost to Butler 79-63.

While Langhi is great when he is knocking them down, he can get cold quickly.

He's taller than Morris, but definitely not stronger.

All Langhi has is practice experience, he hasn't gotten in the games enough to make a difference.

And we don't need an offensively agressive player.

    We need defense
