The Clippers' starters may be "set", but their team isn't very good. BD is a bad PG and Vinny is an awful coach. Those two large millstones will be hard to overcome.
I don't watch the Clippers, but I believe there's been some problem going on with Kaman. Don't know what it is.
Vinny is doing one good thing, and that is giving the rookies big minutes. This team has some potential, mostly because they've come up with some very good players in the draft (not just no-brainer Griffin, but Bledsoe & Aminu as well).
I'd rather Fisher take a wide open, uncontested layup than give anyone else on the Lakers a jumper. He shoots like 25% on layups. It was a lucky shot, nothing more.
Yeah, I agree that the rook messed up there, but in retrospect I liked the play, because if Fish goes right he probably shoots a J and he has a better chance of making that than a layup.
The clippers could have a great team in the future but I keep reminding myself they are the clippers. I don't think they have the right coach for that team. They need to get a SF either through the draft or through FA. I wonder if Melo would ever consider the Clippers if they have better owner and coach.
