And there was a joker here yesterday saying that Duncan should take over and "dominate" on Friday against the Heat. How silly can you get? TD is over-the-hill. The Spurs are winning because they have other options to carry the load while TD can pick his spots and maintain his efficiency. I'll repeat: He had zero business being at the All-Star game instead of Lamarcus Aldridge. That was a travesty.

If the Spurs still depended on TD to be their first option, they'd probably be the 9th seed in the West.

I honestly did not expect the game to turn out the way it is.

I agree and the bolded part needs to be reiterated. LMA, Z-Bo, and Odom were all more deserving than TD this year.

But isn't this part of San Antonio's plan going into the playoffs -- use the late season games to gauge their competitors' strengths / weaknesses, plays and tendencies?

Me thinks there will be a different SA team if they meet again in the playoffs.

I agree that he had no business in the all-star game and is getting dominated today, but come playoff time you will see Duncan is in no way over the hill. He still is pretty good in the post, and can and will detroy bosh one-on-one any day.

I guess you are determined not to admit being wrong no matter how dumb it makes you look. Your choice. TD can't destroy anybody now because he isn't good enough. Grow up and get over your hatred of Bosh.

If you asked TD if he was over-the-hill, he would probably admit it. Pop probably would also.

You just don't see that the spurs have changed their style of play to acomodate other players so that they keep Duncan fresh for the playoffs. That by no means makes a player over-the-hill.

PS. you should get over your hatred of duncan

That may be their strategy, but he did badly in a important regular season game against the defending champions. He probably has something left in the tank, but one can't just turn it up in the playoffs at his age.

In the grand scheme of things though this is only one regular season game and the playoffs are the playoffs. I guess we will just have to wait and see for the playoffs to roll around. I'm hoping for a spurs - rockets matchup, we always seem to play them well.
