Is anyone watching the show Chauncey is putting on right now? 8-10 from 3, Just hit 3 straight contested threes to give the Nuggets a 1 point lead. Dude is on fire.
Dude is unconscious right now. He's just brutalizing them right now. That's 21 points in the 3rd quarter alone.
Billups might just be the most underrated player in the league over the last several seasons. Look at how the Pistons have fallen apart without him (after 6 straight ECF appearances with him), and simultaneously how he's elevated Denver to contender-status.
Career high for Chauncey, 39 points. A professional point guard, not much flash just productive and gets it done. Nuggets w/Andre Miller ~ 45 wins Nuggets w/Allen Iverson ~ 50 wins Nuggets w/Chauncey Billups ~ 55 wins Improved health of the club, improved play of Carmelo sure. But you still have to think the Billups effect is legit.
Yes sir! That's my 3 point shooter, put all your money on this guy in the 3 point contest, forget the Super Bowl.
Now, if only that could happen in the 1st Round to the Lakers, then 2010 would be the best year ever.
When did he ever have career? If there was a such thing as temp player (who has overstayed their welcome) it is Vujacic.
On Lakersground, there are some grumblings from members on that board about the Lakers' PG defense, directed mainly at Derek Fisher. Here are a few threads on that board concerning that. You'll see that he's getting the kind of treatment on that board that Rafer Alston was getting on this one. He was beat. Don't get me wrong, I'm not defending him because he was horrible against LA, but I wouldn't say he choked. He just looked exhausted out there. The Nugs played him wayyyyyyy too many minutes all season and he was just exhausted by the time the WCF rolled around. That's one of the main reasons I was thrilled about the Lawson acquisition. Unfortunately, he's still at 33.5 mpg right now (last year was over 35 mpg), so I'd like to see him sit a little more to rest up for the playoffs.
WOW! i was just sitting their with my mouth wide open when he nailed his 9th 3! and o think his career high is only 39, wow.
random thought, but I wonder how weird it is to have the "Showtime" setup at Staples one night, and then the regular one the next. The should have a mini documentary or something about what its like managing 2 teams in the same building.
