The Kings got on a late 4th quarter run to put away the Lakers. Phil Jackson said after the game "I have absolutely no fear of that team". He went on to say that if the Kings have to always whine on the refs to win them games, then it's not good behavior for them.

The Lakers are 3 games up on us right now. They play San Antonio on Sunday, the Hawks on Monday, and the Celtics tonight while we have the Warriors, Kings and the Clippers. If we go 2-1 (possible, if not likely) and they either lose against the Celtics or Hawks (might be a letdown) and get beaten by the Spurs on Sunday, then we gain a game on them heading into our matchup with them. That game next Wednesday might be our last fate for any seed higher than an eighth because if we do win and everything in the above scenario works, then we're only a game out and we would have the tie-breaker and they have two games against the Mavs to play. If they do beat us next Wednesday, then I think it's time to just settle for thwarting off the suns for the eighth spot. I'm just hoping for this club to get a little experience in the playoffs which would benefit Yao Ming the most. Making the playoffs in the league in his first year playing basketball in the U.S. from a team which only mustered up 28 wins last year.

It is good to see some fans are still optimistic. But I am sorry to say Lakers are the least of Rockets' concerns, nor Jazz/Suns/Warriors. Rockets's biggest concern are themselves! Rudy T's health, Mr. Useless Mean, blown chemstry, stupid street style ball, no team work, role players who think themselves as stars...

    Right on!

This team, from a talent standpoint, is among the leagues best but they 're about as close to aquiring the mental toughness required in this game than my two year old nephew is to understanding physics.

It's still a tight race anything could happen in the next month or so and Jazz, Lakers, and Phoenix all have tough games. Hopfully they will do us some favors along the way. :D
