That interview when D'Antoni lost his cool he said, "Reporter: did you work on defense. Coach: Hell yeah. We work a 1/2 hour on it." lol
Any healthy NBA center/power forward > injured Bynum Lakers was so lucky to unload a damaged good for the best center in the league.
Everyday Lakers game I'm thankful that Rick Adelman was not considered for the coaching job last year... Can you imagine a read and react offense with 4 supremely talented players on the same roster? Pau Gasol would be getting triple doubles every night, with Howard scoring comfortably in the paint and an actual sense of hopelessness for other teams. Lakers seriously blew it - How can you not consider someone like Adelman if he's available? That's my biggest dislike about the Lakers - there's always major politics and ego battles going on; too much of a show and not enough blue-collared-ness. And that's exactly what made Adelman such a great fit with the Rockets, and why McHale is still a decent fit as a character (not x's & o's) guy
68 points at the half? Hell yeah, we worked for a half-hour on (defense). You’re starting to piss me off. You’re really starting to piss me off.
D'Antoni was a horrible choice to step in. Mike Brown was a bad hire and an idiot for trying to implement Princeton....but their biggest issue was already the apathetic laziness on D. How do you go off and hire a guy that's infamous for being a zero on the side? Said it then, saying it now - they should have pulled out the stops for JVG. Nash-Kobe-Gasol-Howard are going to get you your 100 ppg if you get out of their way and keep it simple.
All those laker pricks who said "mike brown sucks, fire mike brown, once brown is fired everything will be better" lololol Yea, right....
Or even better, theyre excuse now is "when steve nash comes back, then youll all be sorry...." Cant wait til that ship sails too lololol Yea, mr defensive player of the year steve nash, hes also gonna cure cancer when he comes back lolololol
I disagree - that's a myth associated with Adelman teams which is not fully true. When he coached us, in the years with Yao we were a good defense, and after Yao we were an all right defense once we had our taller centers. Howard is a naturally good defender and Adelman would've found a way to make his other guys put an effort on that side of the court.
Man this all jus too good to be true, i love it  OH, NOW KOBES HURT OF COUUURRRRSSSEEEEEEEEE HE IS, EVERY TIME LAKERS DOIN BAD OR LOSING, KOBES "HURT" ALL OF A SUDDEN lol What a ****bag
