I'm watching the 76ers / celtics game, and though I generally don't give any value to anything bill walton ever has to say, he brought up a good point -- if korver was paired with a dominant post player, he'd probably put up some nasty numbers in the way of three point shooting. I don't know much about contracts and such, but I'm assuming it would be possible to pick him up in the offseason due to him being a second round draft pick, good idea?
last I checked, it said "roster moves" at the top of the forum title, but thanks for being so quick to be a jerk.
Kyle Korver is a poor man's Eric Piatkowski, who we currently have locked up to a 3 year deal... They love him here in Philly though, mostly because almost everyone's turned on AI and Big Dog by now. Still, Willie Green is probably the better of the rookies.
Kyle Korver is really good 3 point shooter. That's pretty much all he does. I think it definitely will be useful if we pick him up. I'm not sure if he will get a lot of minutes though. He's an average defender, doesn't do much of everything else. Like rebounding or passing the ball well.
I'd tend to agree, he's pretty one-dimensional, I'd say overall piatkowski is a much better player, but with that said...korver seems to hit the open shot about as consistently as anyone I've seen lately, but I'd say a guy coming off the bench just to put up a few 3s wouldn't hurt the rockets at all (see: steve kerr in the playoffs last year).
