As I caught the end of Captain Ron
I started thinking about all the Kurt Russel Movies I liked

    Soldier
    Captain Ron
    OverBoard
    Stargate
    Tango and Case
    BIG TROUBLE IN LITTLE CHINA

and several more. . . [please add to the list]

Got me to wondering . .as an Actor he will not be in Shakespeare
    but
Generally all his movies are entertaining.

I think Kurt Russel an Underrated Actor?
He may not be the best of the best. . but he not the worse
[I put him ahead of Keanu 'WHOA' Reeves]

    John Carpenter's Bobby Deniro.

    Escape from NY
    The Thing

But Big Trouble in Little China takes the cake.

Escape from New York should get more than a cursory mention.

His Snake Pliskin character was never to be matched in all of cinema.

Is that the movie where his wife is kidnapped on the highway? If so, yeah that is a pretty good movie.

Kurt Russell kinda comes off as a douche to me. Breakdown was pretty good though.

Me too, but more because of J.T. Walsh, who played the arch-villian. I keep thinking of Kurt Russel as a backup-plan for all the roles Dennis Quaid, Jeff Bridges, Kevin Costner or Bruce Willis didn't feel like playing; but I guess his longevity is undeniable. The only thing I even think about him in is Grindhouse/Deathproof.

I hate you with my heart for forgetting TOMBSTONE, River.

    Just kiddin'! :p

It seems that in most of his movies, people are taking advantage of him, and he has to beat up the bad guy at the end. What about:

Always thought this guy was underrated. I liked Tango & Cash. Dont think anyone mentioned that one yet.

My faves are of course Big Trouble in Little China, Stargate, and Escape From NY.

How about Executive Decision? Solid cast including Halle Berry. And Steven Segal gets killed 2 minutes in. Good executive movie making decision in my book. I usually watch this thing all the way through if I catch it on reruns.

And ditto Tango and Cash...and of course Big Trouble. Raiden Wins...fatality. Kurt Russell is full of win.
