What a bunch of bull****... KT and SAR were both suspended for 3 games, some other Hawk player received a 1 game suspension. This is all according to ESPNEWS by the way...
What a load of ****. I was expecting one game, two games MAX. How can this fight even compare to Shaq/Miller's fight? Yet they still get the same punishment. Oh well, look on the bright side. It's Eddie's time to shine again.
Yeah, I guess the message from the league is go ahead an throw a punch next time because Shaq didn't get any longer of a suspension for trying to kill someone. You may as well throw a haymaker and get your moneys worth if they are going to give you three days. Is that the message the league is trying to send? Why didn't Kenny get a one game deal like Brad Miller? He didn't do anything more than Miller. What a bunch of garbage!
I'm sorry but this really doesn't surprise me. It doesn't upset me any either. IMHO: They both got what they deserved. SAR got his three for swinging first at KT and exploding over some common aggressive moves. Let's face it, it all was fairly routine NBA (under the net) "elbow and swinging" ****. I thought KT was going to get a whistle on it anyway, and I've read somewhere that they were going to call him on it. But this started earlier. SAR was still pissed because he got banged around at the other end just prior to that incident. And, that was just plain common old "scramble and ramble" ****, where he did not have clear possession of the ball and everyone and his dog was arming one another trying to get a handle on the ball. In the NBA that's called incidental. Anyway, as far as KT is concerned, he sealed his fate when he took several steps toward Shareef in retaliation or whatever you want to call it when you're not the instigator. Then pushed and shoved again and again. He then proceeded to pummel the head of the referee and a couple of Rockets with those sissy, "ssssshhhtop eeeettt you beeeeetch" swats. All in all, the three is what I suspected. The three is what they got. No big deal. PS: Terry, too???? I didn't see him do anything, but then I was laughing so hard and staring in disbelief at it anyway. I could never have guessed that SAR and KT would be two guys who would square off at one another. Just doesn't make sense somehow. But LOL, man if we are calling that a fight worthy of $15,000 and three games .... someone wake up Terry O'Reilly (Boston Bruins) and put a uniform on him. 'Cause that mutha could fight, and everyone got their money's worth when he fought. For $15,000 and three games, he would have done the the whole team. LOL
3 games? That's rediculous. Rahim started it. Rahim deserves 3 games not Kenny. All Kenny did was try to get posistion on the post and Rahim went nuts and attacked him.
I think some people are looking at this fight thru Rocket-colored glasses. That elbow Kenny threw was the first punch of the fight. At that point, he was not jostling for position, he was taking a swing.
In a pre-Shaq trying to kill Miller world (choking him, not necessarily the punch), I would've been fine with the suspension (both players deserved the same). But there's no way, when no punches were connected, that they should get the same as Shaq. The league is officially bull****.
Yeah, the reason I think this suspension is crap is because of the recent Shaq suspension. The offenses by Shaq and KT aren't the same and don't deserve the same penalty. If Shaq gets 3 games, then KT should get no more than 2 games in my opinion.
Yes KT did fall him, but a foul isn't a justifiable reason for starting a fight. Nor is it a reason for Kenny to get 3 game suspension, the same as SAR who started the fight. Yes KT stepped toward SAR, shoving and all that, and should be punished. But he shouldn't punished with the same severity as SAR.

The natives stirred and some grumbled, but the new threshold of tolerance had it's desired effect...." - Kunga Wanghu Christian, titular head of Pitcairn Island, upon his proclamation that henceforth all participating assailants would be thrown from the cliff within one sunrise after their apprehension. Kenny started the fight, guys. He threw the first elbow. Kenny is lucky he didn't get more. Reef probably got 3 games because of the sheer volume of punches that landed. Kevin will step up.
Just because Shareef Abdur-Rahim got the technical foul for complaining because of a no-call, does not mean he should have taken out his anger on Kenny Thomas.
I have seen Ron Harper of the 1998 Chicago Bulls teams, push and shove Reggie Miller of the Indiana Pacers during a playoff game and Harper did not even get a personal foul.
