Whataburger is definitely tops. But I don't agree with the In-N-Out degradation that is going on. Initially, I thought that I/O was just a bunch of Cali hype (when living in Houston and making trips to see the in-laws in LA)...but after moving to Vegas and eating at I/O multiple times, I'm convinced that they truly have good burgers. They're nowhere near as good as Whataburger, but considering the geographic location (PST generally has blah burgers throughout), I/O is pretty good. Unfortunately, there's no Whataburgers in Vegas...and if I had my druthers (and a few million bucks), I'd pursue a franchise to stick here in Henderson. There's enough ex-Texans here that could easily keep a Texas-chained restaurant (Whataburger, Taco Cabana,...) profit happy!

Now a great non-Texas burger that actually competes with Whataburger is Duane's Ono Charburger in Kauai. Hawaii would be the last place I expect to find a good burger, but this little side-of-the-road Anahola burger shack has some of the best burgers ever created. If you ever visit Kauai, check this place out. It's just a little bit north of Kapa'a.

Blasphemy, ****ing Blasphemy. YOU SHALL NOT DISPARAGE IN-N-OUT BURGER.

My cousin came down to visit last week from North Dakota and he made us go to In-N-Out nearly every day. He's damn near obsessed with the food there.

I mean You cannot be ****ing serious, McDonalds? I don't know what In-N-out you went to, but it's by far the best fast food burger I've had. Culver's is also great.

I take issue with you Texans and your "Whataburger" I ate there a few times and it was completely unimpressive. First of all it was like 8 bucks for a combo meal, then when I got the burger it was kind of soggy, and not really anything better than the average crap you'd find at a local burger chain, you people severly overrated that place. And ever since the soggy burger incident, I now refer to the establishment as Waterburger.

It's actually at Midway and Trinity Mills in Carrollton, so it's a few miles off the George Bush (probably actually closer to the Tollway).

Being a fast food-enthusiast, I had to try them out today. Their little chicken sandwiches (Krystal Chik) are AWESOME! Their mini burgers are very good too. I like the bread they use and how they lightly toast it so the edges have a little crunchy texture. I'll be checking them out again if I'm in that area.

That's not really what I meant. Neither of them are good burgers, they're just good fast-food burgers.

Seriously, how is Beck's Prime not getting any love? They're just as fast as these other places, but the burgers are so much better it's ridiculous.

Whataburger is some crappy burger. It's like the burger every Texan clings to because "it's ours". Nasty burger. Donkey butt nasty. Ok, maybe I'm exaggerating, but it's not that great a burger.

Carl's Jr. had some California hype - I tried it over here in the DFW area... it was good. Totally evil to the body, but tastes good. Much better than Whataburger.

I've got to try In N Out someday soon.

    There... I said it.

Dunk - you didn't drive all the way up to that truckstop north of Melissa just to go to the Carls Jr there did you? ;)

I love Carls Jr because here they have it with the Green Burrito as well. I can get a good burger and a good burrito at the same time.

Red Robins is pretty good, not a fast foot place, but I enjoy their burgers.

Red Robin? There's tons of them out here in Oregon. It's obviously a chain restaurant that serves burgers among other things but their specilty is burgers. They specialize in different kinds and come out with different kinds once in a while.

They're nice-sized... actually pretty big, have a nice flavor they have like 10 different burgers, and the fries that come with them are steak friez (bottomless). Although I've never had Krystal's or whataburger you can't compare them to Red Robin because it's an actual sit down restaurant. You're lookin at about 12 bucks for a burger/fries/drink and tip. A similar restaurant to a Red Robin would be Chili's.

Overall, I'd give Red Robin about an 8 for the burger. They have a nice layout and atmosphere which helps.

Now back to the topic of fast food burgers. I can't believe there's no love for Fatburger. Oh man, stumbling down the Vegas strip at 5 am and makin a pit stop at Fatburger before goin back to the hotel I think was one of the highlights of my life. Well maybe not, but damn, I thought it was a fantastic burger.

Keeping in context of course. It doesn't compare to other fast-food burgers. Which isn't to say that Beck's rules outright, but that ridiculous love for slightly above average fast food sliders is misplaced.

Whataburger AND In-N-Out can go to hell for all I care.

Becks Prime, to me, is more like a fuddruckers typle place.

I think I will go to Prince's today.
