No offense, hip, but I make my judgments based on 18 years of major media experience as a print reporter. I get my views from a wide variety of news sources, but the piece that stirred the controversy was indeed a television news/feature segment. Yes, television newscasts are referred to as the whatever a.m./p.m. "show" but I have met a number of R/TV reporters who are journalists and a number of print journalists who aren't. Professionalism depends on the individual, not the medium. Good luck on your career.
That's cool, thumbs, and I understand your point about more and more bias creeping into what people consider "news." I'm sure we could talk lengthily on that topic. And there are some perfectly respectable television sources for news, it's true, I spoke hastily. I wouldn't count any station or program giving major coverage to the Kobe Bryant saga amongst those sources, however.
