Kobe playing with a groin-injury, similar to the won that kept Bosh out 5 games. Hes having a subpar game, but hes not half-assing it. He actually is running the fast break. What a novel concept?! You guessed it, this is a t-mac criticism thread in disguise. I am just so frustrated how he looks for every excuse not to play hard. Good game to watch btw; both sides heating up. I like the way Nocioni plays too.
Who would have thought if Kobe dont score in the last 19 minutes the Lakers would still win. I think Kobe demanding changes or a trade lit a fire under the Lakers this season.
^^^ So T-mac should be like Kobe, flip-flopping 10 times, "I want to be traded" "I don't want to be traded" in the offseason. I bet the Rockets would start hitting their shots.
Kobe's always played with injuries. I still remembered how he injured his shoulder playing against Minnesota a couple of years ago in the playoffs in a highlight reverse dunk and still played through the pain for almost all of the remaining games. He is a great player, his only achillies hell is his lack of trust for his teammates. However, it seems like he has a newfound admiration for his current supporting cast, which naturally translates into on court success, hence the Laker's surprising performance so far. I was a non-believer at first, but it seems like Andrew Bynum has grown into a very reliable player. I will get shot for saying this, but he plays much better defense than Dwight who relies mainly on his athleticism for blocks and rebounds.
sorry, submitted too early. To finish the thought, he looked impressive defensively based on what i saw last night.
I agree. He's also very good at catching passes around the rim and finishing with authority. The Lakers got themselves a steal with the 10th pick. Even if he doesn't improve any more after this point, he was well worth it. But from what I have seen, his age (20) and work ethic seems to lead me to believe that the sky is the limit for this kid.
