Say what you may, but this is more entertaining than the actual game or any game yet to be played tonight. There's so much tension in that room...I love it
Why did Charles punk out by saying, "My only mistake is, I shouldn't have made this public". He's not a player anymore, in fact, he's supposed to be an "NBA analyst", so if he wanted to criticize his play, then do so. TNT ain't paying him to text people about thier play. Charles talks bad about players all of the time, and I don't see any difference.
Actually, I have to commend Kobe for coming on the show and sharing his POV in a candid, and yet respectful way. I thought he was a standup guy for doing that...
I'm going to go out on a limb and say Kobe comes across as alot more intelligent than Scottie Pippen or Jalen Rose.
What does that have to do with anything? He's a well-spoken guy, no doubt. I think Jalen is funnier (he used to do some work for the BDSSP in the playoffs last season, and came across as very intelligent and entertaining...but he seemed to be loose and not as nervous as he has been with TNT. Pippen is also well-spoken and balanced in his opinions for the most part, although not the most charismatic TV personality around.
Nor did Charles, they both looked pretty set in their opinion that he simply 'mailed it in' in the 2nd half on purpose. BTW, Charles did NOT retract his statement about Kobe, he merely said that he was wrong to take it public, but reiterated his opinion to Kobe's face this time.
He's not talking about the comments he made about the game. He's talking about making it public that Kobe texted him about it.
i just watched it on tivo. kobe's excuse made no sense. well the game plan worked in game 4 when we had a big deficit (kobe, you were down like 30pts in game 7) kenny pointed out that phil jackson said kobe can take over the game whenever he wanted to. also kobe said phoenix is a team he didnt have to score lots of points to beat charles and kenny > kobe
i think what he meant was that kobe bryant is a lot more well-spoken than the other two. jalen and pip just seem to have a lot of trouble with the english language. kobe can at least complete sentences, use proper grammar, and not butcher words, which is a lot more than i can say for jalen, pip, and sir charles
I doubt they can match his $127 mil contract He's well-spoken and proper and all, but I just don't see him as a TV personality.
You really start to think he's pretty insightful until you remember it's hard to take a grown man wearing a tie tucked into a sweater vest seriously.
