Exactly; he knows he can't force Kobe to stay in a team concept from before, so now he seems to be teaching him a lesson like a parent letting their 11 year old light up a pack or get (sick) drunk just so they see how dumb it is. Evan
On the plane they had to be seperated by Kobe's bodyguards. How nice it must be to pick fights and then have your bodyguards seperate you from who ever you picked the fight with.
Bryant suspended for two games for elbowing Memphis' Miller in throat Associated Press NEW YORK — Kobe Bryant was suspended for two games without pay Friday for elbowing Mike Miller in the throat. During Wednesday's 101-99 loss to Memphis, the Lakers guard was called for a flagrant foul with 8:24 to play for elbowing Miller. After the game, Bryant was unapologetic. He had been gashed over his left eye in the second quarter when Miller pushed him in the face with his hand; the cut required three stitches. "Any player that was going to come down the lane at that point in time, I was going to let him know that he just can't walk through there," Bryant said. "I think we as a team have to do a better job of establishing that. And me, as a leader of the ballclub, I've got to take the initiative to do that — and hopefully, everybody will see that. "This being our home court, people come here and think it's Hollywood and all sorts of stuff, so they think they'll come down (the lane) and look pretty and shoot jump shots and dunk the ball and finger-roll the ball and do all sorts of cute stuff. And we've got to stop that." Bryant is scheduled to serve his suspension Sunday, when the Lakers host Utah, and Tuesday, when Los Angeles plays at the Jazz.

I did not realize that AI was averaging 34 and 7 on 45% shooting. This is one of the greatest individual seasons in league history. He is 30 now too - he should have slowed down by now.
Don't forget his a/to ratio is at 2.354 for the season, his career average is an awful 1.62 a/to. He has gotten alot better. The Chris Weber trade helped him out alot also.
if i was a player of kobe's calibar, i would do exactly the same. your one of the best. if your teammates cant do simple plays, then their going to get a earful. i rather have a bunch of competitive players than a bunch of overpaid lazy players who don't care whether they win or lose or never improve their game.
The punishment is fair. Problem is, the Jazz are so sorry the Lakers could end up winning both games anyway.
Here's a vid of Miller's and Kobe's altercations...I'd be pissed if I was Kobe, but I think he handled it the wrong way. He basically told everyone that it was coming, and that it was intentional before it happened, AND after it happened. http://s46.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=097M69ATI84HR2EYE5GV5APNFE
Oh Kobe, be a MAN, sucker-punched your teammate from behind??? Man, Kobe is a such a COWARD!!!! Now we all know why chucky Atkins said kobe is the GM of the lakers. Basically all his teammates hates him. Kobe is well documented ego, selfish player. I cant believe there is still so many kids voted for kobe for the ASG!
Actually that post was regarding yet another Kobe thread that got merged with this one. So more like in before the merge.
