The Toyota Power Team Halftime is worse than the 51 reception.

All the broadcast equipment used at NBA arenas is owned by the owner/leasor of the building. In the case of the Toyota Center, the Rockets own all that gear.

The stuff in the new building is new from what I understand because much of the gear in Compaq belonged to the leasor there - Chuck Watson.

Its all Channel 51 KNWS... this station was originally supposed to be a low frequencey "all news" station, and now has suddenly become a low frequency "all sports and UPN sitcoms" station.

Obviously, sports don't translate well over the low bandwidth.

Additionally, I watched an old broadcast from 94 that aired over UPN-20...and the pitcure looked LIGHT YEARS ahead of what we get on 51 now.

Think about that... a VHS tape... from 9 years ago... can OUTPERFORM a current broadcast on KNWS viewed over a digital satellite signal, despite all our supposed advancements in technology.

I can't WAIT till the Rox decide to form their own network... even if it carries a premium charge.

According to Time Warner they know about this problem but they say that they cant do anything about it. I suggest everyone who has this issue email: engineering@knws51.com

Thanks, I've sent them an email. I've noticed that the reception for every game pretty much sucks.

but then again...I am on th eother side of the metro area from Channel 2, which is the station that cause some of the noise on that frequency.

So you can get KNWS 51 on the DISH Network?

I hope so, that will help my cravings up here in Dallas... if it's possible, I'm gettin' DISH!

Craapy signal or not, it's better than no signal!
