I don't know. I sort of wonder if he got some bad drugs in China or something. He wasn't over there long though.

Sort of scary how quickly he fell.

Maybe he's bipolar or manic depressive or just has a chemical imbalance. Lot's of times the drugs you take to level yourself out take weeks to build up and if you stop taking them you fall off quickly...

He's about the right age for people with mental health disorders to really start showing severe symptoms. I wouldn't be surprised at all if has a schizophrenic type mental disorder.

That is just horrible news, hope he can get the help he needs because it sounds like he's got some serious mental issues.

It's very sad. I'm a mental health professional. The posters who have mentioned that he might have either Bipolar Disorder or Schizophrenia are correct. The age of onset in the male population is usually between 18-25 yrs. It's very common to see associated drug use along with a primary mental health condition which leads to worsening symptoms and a poorer prognosis.
I hope that he will get access to good medical care.Having a good social support structure is vital for his health as well.

Blake made a good point, stopping of medications is disastrous. Unfortunately, the majority of patients have no idea what is going on with them, which leads to frequent hospitalizations and sometimes long term institutionalization. That doesn't mean he can't get better, let's hope for the best.

I just hope he's financially stable...the cost of his medication can deplete what ever he earned in his career...

BTW. does the NBA Players Union have a insurance/pension plan that would cover such cases?
